Good thing I never migrated to the newer forum.. I guess that my old informations are all gone since I can't log in the new forum.
-
This explains why a ton of people I know got advertisments from me, that I never sent
-
Could be that or you opened a link in your Email that placed a virus spammer on your system (or worst email system). Usually what I do if I see a suspicious email I open the source not the email, so I can read it without actually entering the email. Also gives me some useful info of who and where int he world it was sent.

Yah, I got the email on my forum account being disabled on the 15th. *sad*
I'm sure they've always wanted to do that. Pft.
-
Well there's a new forum for neverwinter nights 1. But the looks is like bleh.
-
Kind of silly that the information such as NWN cd-keys is still there, while I can't even get it. Hackers have better access to my own account than me.
-
I got an email from Bioware saying that my account had been compromised. Is there anything I should do in regards to this?
*Waits for the advice of those smarter than he.*

Change the password. On the old forums if you changed your password there, it was supposed to also change your game account password. I don't know if it does that on the new forum but I'd try that. About all you could really do. Thei'd still have your cd keys (if they had taken it which in this case wasn't what was taken), so that could possibly prevent you from playing if they were on at the same time, but at least they wouldn't be able to access your In Game account any longer.

All,
Read the thread RollinsCat posted closely and also read this:

CD Keys were not part of what was taken.
Change your password as soon as possible if your account was compromised.
-
Yeah, I received an e-mail and I changed all my passwords. However, how do I change my NWN Multiplayer account password?
-
Excellant question

They've also said that they'll be putting the old forums back in one form or another, and that the information accumulated over the last decade will be preserved. So rest easy in that respect, at least. :)

Too coincidentally, my hotmail account has also been blocked for sending mass emails. Within a day of this story.
Alas, poor darklord_bob@hotmail.com. More than a decade of useful viagra advertisements and lengthy correspondences from trustworthy Nigerian princes. Such memories. :(
Now printing nwncdkey.ini and keeping a hard backup, and saving copies on some disks just in case.
