First death since level 4 and it's a 2 on the roll!
Welcome home eh!? Lag to boot! And heck if I know if it's on my end so I can't even stick it to the server. I even had my stick ready!
Ahh. I smell the doom even now.
Like explaining to your child why he bleeds when he punches the aphid on the pavement.

Nothing worse or as character smashing than losing that first ss under level 8 or 9 I reckon!

Steel lost two or three SSs under level ten. Honestly, I think Steel's had more luck against the soul mother in epic levels than pre-epic. There's hope for you yet. ;-)

Gel had 4 DTs by level 9. His luck has not gotten too much better as he has lost another 6 in the subsequent 9 levels. I take full resonsibility for futile acts of soloing though.

I have a newer character..by level 6 she died a total of 4 times with 2 SS losses. That is the worse of all my chars.

Alarik's 1st death was a strand loss as well. Kun's 1st was around lvl 22 and was totally Nonac's fault. Nonac still hasn't gotten his first, Kurn will give it to him whn the time comes.
Only the good die young, all the evil seems to live forever.

Kun did not lose a SS until level 22? How many deaths?

To date, only my elf characters have lost SS's. Tristan died about fifty times by level 11 without a loss.

LOL and I thought 1 SS loss for every ten deaths was good luck :\

To date, Kurn has died 29 times by 25th lvl. I believe at least a dozen of those were between 1-4. :P

Görmungard has around 10 deaths in total I guess, 1 or 2 DTs

The Soul Mother only feasts on the weak pale-skinned elven souls! They have a sweetness to them unlike the bitterness of their dark-skinned cousins! *Runs and hides*

The effects of the availability of good affordable healing is very clear. A big thanks to the team for making that possible.
A tip to new players and a reminder to older players with new PCs, spend your true on healing and use it :)

I totally agree, healing and restorative magic potions of throwing and drinking variants, use 'em.
