Title: Malar Leather Bug?

[SIZE=16]Bug Report[/SIZE]
 
 Description:  I've noticed that there is no difference between Malar Hide and Malar plain leathers (other than the standard AC and max dex ac allowed between plain and hide/studded armors). Shouldn't hide provide some additional AC and resist to slashing? It does not appear there is any slashing benefits to Malar Hide. I am unable to check Malar studded, but that might be worth a check too if this is indeed a "bug".

I can confirm that Malar Studded confers the same effects as Malar Hide does.

Confirmed in the toolset. It makes me wonder if this was intentional for balance reasons rather rather than an oversight, but I have no information either way.

I can add this of course. In order for it to have any effect though, people will either need to make new armors or "ox" the ones they have, which of course resets any customizations and resistances.  Beyond this, there's nothing we can do about armors already in circulation.

Adding the property will also increase the level requirement by one level, potentially leaving some people without their armor until they gain that level.

Thank you Dorg. I'd like to see the slashing/piercing properties added to hide/studded for consistency. But I would defer to others as to the impact to in circulation armors.

Can anyone else chime in that might be using these armours today?

A FYI, there is also a Malar LEATHER Armor in the Angels' Guild Store Room closet that has the base AC of 3/4 of a Hide or Studded...

Based on some previous posts it looks like this is the case with Legendary Dire Bear armors as well. Studded and Hide provide no additional AC against slashing and piercing respectively. Can anyone validate?

If so, may have been intentional.

Legendary dire bear leather (http://forums.layonara.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=118912) armor and legendary dire bear hide  (http://forums.layonara.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=118902)armor are the same as for damage resistance with the hide giving a boost to concentration.
