Title: Crafting Tools (Weapons)

When activating workstations such as the tailor's table it seems to take a check to destroy your tool even when not crafting anything and merely wanting to inspect what you need. It is reproduceable as it has happened before. This particular instance was a broken tailoring needle while trying to find where to craft thread.

Yes, this is how the system has worked as far back as I can remember.
We have recipe cards for most crafts... using those will not require you to be holding the proper tools, nor will it break crafting tools.

I assume then thats its something that can not be fixed, since it requires a way around rather than just a straight up tweak?

Its been asked about before... I think by me even. And the answer was use the recipe cards. But I know we dont have cards for all.... poison crafting comes to mind.

Yup, usage of a machine is technically using your tool so if you're just checking for recipes/chance of success you risk breaking the tool.
I have, however, added recipe cards for all the crafting devices to the vendors in the next update.
