Title: multiclassing question

hello

If a person started a ranger till 6lvl and then took 1 lvl of wizrd would they be able to qualify and allowed to then begin arcane archer?

i understand they must have min 5 lvls in each class before lvl 20 but can they take AA at lvl 8 or would they need to be ranger 5/ wizard 5 before AA?

As long as the character is approved to take all three classes (ranger, wizard, and AA), and as long as you have at least five levels in all three by the time the character reaches 20th level, then it doesn't matter what class you take on a given level.
