Lol. I dont know about everyone else but expecting you to even attempt to update even some of the area's would be asking way to much. I mean the condition is probably going to be temporary, though the definition of temporary can be a little vauge. But still, it is nothing that cant be rped and there's a server message reminding you every time you log in. That should be enough for everyone to work with. At least I'd think.

I doubt nature doesn't care. Unless there is some form of magical blessing provided locally by one of the dieties, I think it best to assume that it is reacting just the way you'd expect. The plants that are dependant on light are likely wilting and the animals that depend on those plants are probably thinning, ect, ect. The whole chain progresses. Though I'm sure there are many plants that are less dependant on direct sunlight and those are likely to grow rampantly now that the other, more dominant plants are begining to fail. But thats just my assumption. Maybe things are different from what you'd expect due to whatever reasons.

Layonara Server / Re: Donations for Monthly Expenses
« on: November 24, 2006, 02:58:36 AM »
Another bump.

Just wanting to say also that the $10 donation is awfully nifty. I mean think about it. It's hard to imagine $10 will really hurt most of us, and while it really doesn't even seem like enough to be worth the effort, just think if even 10 people did it. Thats $100 a month to help keep this world running. And while I'm sure all of you know, it doesn't hurt to repeat whats been said.

This game is completely non-profit. Leanthar himself will never see a dime from any of the donations made, nor can he legaly. Anything and everything donated would go directly into improving some aspect of the world, ultametly(sp?) for your own benifit. Whether it's improving the servers, updating the forums, bringing in help that could possibly be beyond what the content team could manage, ect. Leanthar has done this for a long time and I'm sure he will put every effort into continueing to do it but you never know. The future of this world and the realazation of the collective dreams of all the players to have ever come and gone, could potentially rest with that small donation you started up. That little bit just might be enough to keep this world going strong for years to come.

So comon. Lets help him out and show him just how much his dream, this world, this game we all share with each other, lets show him just how much of an impact it has made on us and encourage him to continue to pursue his dreams for Layonara. Just remember that this world depends on the contributions, of all forms, by not only Leanthar, but every single one of us.

Nyralotep- "Done. By the way there are 2 different Layonaras, one was submitted by Fadrien and the other by Nita. That might split the vote so I voted for both."

Leanthar- "Yeah, sadly that is the case. Many years ago we submitted and then fadrien left and with the password so at that site and at least two others we had to start over."

Sorry about all that by the way. I had my password sent to me for neverwinter connections and will delete the second copy. Please pm me or post here with the other sites and I will remove them also to avoid confusion.

Woooo Hoooo!!! Just 1 more day to go then I'm free!!!! At least for a nice long weekend. *jumps up and down excitedly*

Oh and for those of you who remember him, I'm talking tom Seth right now. He's one of the original players for this world, way way before even me. I believe he and a few others where among the original players when Layo first went online. It seems he's doing welland in fact teaching in China right now. Thats a huge move and I was personally suprised about it but it seems he's happy and all that. So yea just wanted to mention it.

Now off to sleep I go!!!

Oh I learned another thing while visiting the temple. I remember way back when, I had asked to be giving some death tokens for, what I felt were rp reasons. Fadriens just a fragile little cuttie. :) So yea I guess my supply is already half gone. Lol. Guess I'll be seeing alot of Hlint since I'll likely never leave it :p

Lol. I think I was gone by the time you arrived. I do remember seeing you on one of my many "returns" Dont remember why but I remember your name. But ya, I've played off and on since..... sheesh I dont even know when, late 2002 was it? Or was it 2003? How long has NVW been out? I remember it was right before the holidays. Last time I played consistantly was shortly after we transfered from the old forums to these ones. Not sure exactly when that was.

But ya. Just to make it formal. A pleasure to meet you and can't wait to see you in game also. *grins wide* Downloads more than half done. *crosses fingers* Maybe another 20 minutes..... Soooooo close.

Heya dear. I know itcan be frustrating. I haven't been on in awhile but I can say it has been a problem for a long time and likely always will be in a world like this. But what makes this world great are the friends. This message will likely have several pm's and offers sent to you to help you out. Take some time to play with them and get to know them. The people here will undoubtably help you out. Give them time to prove it and I know they will.

Lol. Indeed dear. Be careful what you wish for though *grins devilishly*. Honestly I can remember back to a few times I've tried to get back into the world and I would log in for hours trying to start conversations with people. And when there wasn't anyone around I just rped anyway. From her relaxing by the lake, to playing with her cute little kitty Elane, ect. And the funny thing was, I wasn't at all bored. I dunno. Looking at it that might look depressing lol. But I had fun. I mean I was once a GM and I know that you can never tell who's there watching you. See even when I went out exploring and made Fadrien take a break in the shade and rped my lil heart out, I knew in all likelyhood no one was watching but then again. What if they where. I know xp used to be awarded by the GM's when they noticed good attempts at rp and with that being one of my few ways to earn xp without dieing hundreds of times in a night (and ask some of the older players... they'll vouch that I die real easy). But ya. :D I'll stick with the rp anyday. :D

Lol. Well thank you but I am far from making promises. I can remember doing that a few times just to dissapoint everyone including myself. So no promises though I can say right off the bat that a few things are different. Firstly I have moved out of the house and by my own will this time but more to the point is I actually have a decent job that pays enough for me to consider living alone. Sadly that money also means Iend up working more often than I want to especially this time of year. It's unlikely I'll see a day off until Thanksgiving and to make it even better they've had me on 12 hour shifts. Hopefully though that will change within the next couple of days. But yes in the long term I am working to being back on a permanent basis. First thing being first I need to decide on a computer but just haven't had the time really to check into it seriusly. But that will happen soon. I need to decide what form of internet I want and set it up, which really isn't that tough. I just dont want to do it before the comp because I wont be doing much that requires the connection. Already went out and bought NVW 2 but found out shortly after that Layo is staying with the first installment so I think I'll do the same. Playing through the single player wouldn't be a bad idea though since I already paid for it. :P That and I still have alot of minor errands and other fun stuff that comes with moving out but I'm sure I'll get all that sorted through time.

I'm just happy at the way things are progressing and with any luck I'll be joining you all in game with my Fadrien. Be prepared to have your ears talked off. I dont remember if you remember but Fadrien only has 2 hp/level. Oddly it seems she's level 2. I dont remember getting it but *shrugs*. So yea. Any wildly shot arrow will kill her. *nods* That breeze that just tousled your hair... yep it through me halfway across town. :( Hehe. To make the situation even better she doesn't use a single weapon and must depend solely on her magic. Lets just say I wont be leveling anytime soon. So like I said. Expect their to be alot of talking. :D

But ok heya everyone!!!! I miss all of you and am looking forward to renewing the fun!!

*waves*
