NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / RE: Two handed katana« on: May 12, 2005, 03:48:00 PM »
NWN lacks a lot from the original Dnd. Here it's the ability to wield any weapon with two hands, thereby getting the 1,5x strength modifier to AB and damage. In NWN, you can only get that from large two-handed weapons, while it should have been like, that if you had for example a longsword in you right hand, and nothing in your left hand, you would automatically wield the sword with both hands...They have that in Knights of the Old Republic, if anyone here has tried it...

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / RE: Level-up summary« on: May 12, 2005, 03:40:00 PM »
There's a misunderstanding here. On Brynsaar, they didn't lock the level-up summary, but made the amount of hit points gained invisible. I think it would be a great idea to do the same here. I tend to either feel bad for getting a lousy amount of hit points, or for rerolling so that I can get full amount...

On Brynsaar, they didn't lock it, but they made you unable to see how many hitpoints you gained.

You wouldn't happen to have chosen evocation as your magic school, did you? I think it has something to do with that, because you won't be able to cast spells of opposite school...At least I've been into that problem on another server...

Is expertise mode for spellcasters allowed on this server? Anyway, that's powergaming. 5 free AC for a character that never uses AB...

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / True seeing« on: May 12, 2005, 04:06:00 PM »
I don't know how True seeing works on this server, but one thing that has always bothered me, is the fact that a lvl 40 rouge or assassin or shadodancer or whatever can use a lot of skill points on stealth skills, and even feats, but then a low level guy happens to have a helmet with true seeing and ruins everything. It just doesn't seem fair...
It would be great if True seeing gave you the ability to see through all magical concealment spells, and instead of automatically spot hiding people as it usually does, it would give an X amount to Search and Spot per X levels of the caster. If this already been discussed/altered, just delete this thread. 7
NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / Monks« on: April 14, 2005, 09:40:00 AM »
According to the D&D player's handbook (can't guarantee it, just heard it from a friend who owns it) once a monk reaches level 20, he gains the ability to communicate with all living things. Maybe you could put in the same rule here, by giving lvl 20 monk all the language ears (or whatever it is that makes you able to speak another language).
