Today Noss invited me over for supper at his house with a few other people. Reef, Rolf, Sharhar, Brit, Argos were all there as well. I wore my new dress that I had made in hopes of being invited to someone's house. I should of know it would be Noss's invitation I would recieve first. He has been one of the true friends I have had since I arrived in Hlint.
After we all arived Noss and Argos served us a feast of fish. I must remember to get his recipie for them, they were absoultly heavnly, who thought dwarves could cook so well!! We ate and talked during the meal and offered to help clean up after all the food was gone but Noss refused our help and set about taking away the dishes. We sat and got to know each other better, telling storys and jokes untill Noss had finished. When he came back he began to tell us a bit about his life and travles. Personally I would of left the part out about the Dracolich pinning me in the inn for several hours though. After Noss finished his story we sat and talked to well into the night untill it was time for us all to head home and find our own beds. We bid Noss, Argos and Brit farewell as we headed out into the night. I headed back to the rangers vale and the little area I sleep near where Ravar and her cubs live. I like to keep a close eye on them, expecially with all the drow and driders in the forrest lately. I must say I really enjoyed myself this evening and hope we do it again some day soon. 3

I finally found Ayreon today. Seems he has been hiding in the Sielwood forrest near the vale. Though he says he has been presued the entire time. He was heading back off to the forrest as I said farewell to him and went to work on my alchemy a bit. Later I ventrued down to the vale to enjoy the forrest and gaze at the star's. I had been resting there for awhile when I heard voices near the healer and went down to investigate. It turns out that more drow had attacked Hlint searching for Ayreon.
As the group spoke to the ranger he told us that he had sent out two rangers to try and locate there camps but they were late in returning. Ayreon decided that we should strike back at them and asked us to help him. We agreed and set out searching for the drow encampment in the Sielwood. It didnt take very long till we found tracks leading deeper into the forrest near where the boar's graze. As we followed the tracks towards the Boar's area we ran into a few Drow scout's. after a quick battle we pressed into the little cove and found Freth's body which was now being used to raise small spiders. We took the body back to the ranger's vale and decided to seprate for the time being and plan our next moves. 4

Today I have done somthing that I never figured I would do. As I was passing through Fort Llast I saw a bit of comotion around the Temple of Toren so I stoped to investigate. It seems that a few were prepairing to head out on a pilgrimage to visit the various temples of the land and show there support to the gods in there ongoing war. I decided that I would help protect them in there travles. I was supprised when they said that they would also make the trip to Saudiria and visit the temple of Az'atta as well.
Our first stop was the temple of Aeridin in Krandor. We met a priest by the name of Athus who ran the small temple and spoke with him for a time. Next we headed to Port Hampshire to visit the various temples. From here we decided to head over to Lorindar and begin visiting the temple's there. But it turned out it was not ment to be. As we were waiting in Lorindar a woman came stumbling out of her house in a daze. She was in extream shock and we finally managed to get out of her that her husband had lost somthing. When we went in to investigate it turns out he had lost his face!! After examing him for awhile and talking to her we found out that she had seen a shadow but thought she was sleeping. When I went outside to see if anyone had seen somthing strange I ran into a guard from Pranzis. Seems he was there to report a kidnapping by a man who lived here in town. When he talked to the Guard captian it turns out that the man who kidnaped him looked like Alek, the faceless man. We decided to follow and track this figure down. Turns out that the fellow kidnaped was Trevor, a friend of one of the royal guardsmen Cole. We warned the guard captain about it and told him that if either man was found to take them into custody. As we talked with the guards another one rushed up reporting some strange tracks near the hotel. We went to investigate and well they clearly werent anything local, hell I dont know what they were to be honest. The town guards posted watch as we went in to investigate. I followed the tracks back to a few of the rooms though I did get sidetracked once and busted in on a Ogar getting dolled up for WHAT I have no idea and I dont want one either... As we got back on track we followed them to another room that clearly was the one we wanted. When we rushed inside we found another faceless body with a human standing over it, though it hissed when it spoke. I paused for a moment to question it but it threw some smoking potion on the floor and vanished... When we walked out front the guards said that Trevor had came out of the inn and went off in search of his friend Cole... How stupid can a guard captian be!!! We rushed off in search of cole just to find him nearly dead at the feet of 'Trevor" Well I wasnt about to give him a 2nd chance to run off so I attacked him imeaditly. He once again vanished but shortly reappeared as a large creature. After a quick battle we managed to kill it and Cole came to. We filled him on what had happened and he went off to rest. I suggested the dwarf in our party bring the corpse to show to the guard captain. after we filled him in on what happended he had the nerve to threaten me to keep my mouth shut... Ill be damed if I am quite about how incompitant he is. This looked very much like a plot to kill the king and take his place and this captain is as clueless as a blind goblin... We headed back to Hlint and I ran into Aschenbach again. He was heading out to mine some copper, I agreed to protect him for more storys about the planes. After we finished we retired to the inn for drinks and he told me that the "Gates" would glow if you came near them with the 'Key" And that there was a gate at the top of the Hlint courthouse that led to Sigel. It seems you can open it with a lead from the Lady's Key plant. Im gona half to talk to Ozy about this. 5

I must say life around Hlint is never boaring. In the past week I have been rather busy which is a nice change of pace. So far I have managed to aquire a new iron katana and dei-katana with a fire and electrical enchantment on them. Ive also bought a set of jaguar hide armor to keep me safe.
Well I have seen my first drow attack since I have moved to the surface though they werent after Hlint but a person. It seem's they wanted to kill Ayreon, a drow who was sitting amog us talking at the campfire. Many of the drow from Hlint had gathered to talk about our future here on the surface and what we could do to make it better. All of the sudden darkness decended on us and we sprang into action. We might live on the surface now but it hasnt dulled our sence of danger or our reflexes. We rushed into the darkness to do battle with the assassian's we could hear taunting us. It was a short fight and soon they were all disptched. By this time some of the people of Hlint had heard of a drow attack and ran out to see us standing there. Of course they imeadtly figured since we were drow we were the ones who was attacking... Never mind the bodys laying near us. As we were calming them down the darkness decended around us again and spiders attacked as well. The battle was short and when the darknes cleared someone had found a letter on one of the assassian's bodys telling them it was Ayreon they were after. We spoke to him and he told us why they wanted him dead. It seems his entire house had turned there backs on the drow gods and fled to the sruface to make a new life for themselves. For awhile they prospered here on the surface untill assassians attacked and killed most everyone. It seems Ayreon managed to escape and thies had ment to finish the job. After awhile it was decided that he go to the rangers vale and hide untill he could figure out a plan of action to follow. I have also been thinking more and more of my daughter Tia'lanna. I so wish she was alive today and with me here on the surface. She would of loved to play in the forrest and caves around Hlint where she could be free to show the kind soul she possessed. And the books!! O she could of spent days with her nose burried in the books I have seen. I miss her more each passing day, I pray that she is safe in the loving embrase of Az'atta. 6

General Discussion / RE: hatred« on: July 15, 2005, 05:24:00 PM »
Ok, after reading all the posts I thought I should post as well. I am Kayla Warcrest in the game and I will state that I am GLAD to see more racial tensions toward the drow. How ealse am I suppose to leave behind my past, fairly evil even if she didnt like what she did she still did them, and prove myself to thoues around me by my actions that I am good if every single person I meet greets me with open arms like a long lost family member?
Now im not saying that everyone should attack the drow on sight as it would make it nearly impossible for alot of us to progress game wise. But keep in mind we have raided hlint a few times. Whats not to say were not foward scouts for the next invasion? ![]() 8
General Discussion / RE: Drow« on: July 14, 2005, 12:17:00 AM »
Im sorry to say that I half to agree that the drow arent quite hated as they should be, and I play a drow! While it DOES make it easyer for me to find groups and such ive only ever met 1 pc, and it was an elf that actually acted like he wanted to kill me!! O there are plenty who joke about killing me, I think ozy has first pick and path has 2nd pick but the line seem's to have a few takers as well.
Its just that I find it hard to believe as im walking through hlint and I run across someone ive never met before and who doesnt know of me smile, walks up to me and introduces themselves. To, kinda help out with this I have taken to wearing my hemlet most of the time so people wouldn't exactly know that I am drow so they would have no reason to walk up to me in greeting. *shrugs* Just somthing to think about. If Hlint was attacked by assassian's recentally then the people of Hlint would still hate drow. You talk about humans having short life spans and such but just think of it this way. If a group of assassians attacked your home town slaughtering all who they come across how long do you think the people of your town would remember such an act? Just somthing to think about the next time you think about running up to a drow and introduce yourself.

General Discussion / RE: racial profiling« on: July 13, 2005, 11:41:00 PM »
In the word of Layonara there are suppose to be racial tensions. Unlike our world we dont have a a group of people who say, live underground raiding the surface world for slaves and killing everyone ealse. We also dont have the drastic differences between people as we do in Layonara. With elves, dwarfs, gnomes, drow and such, each with different views on how things should be done and not willing to budge much on there point of view. And I mean drasticly different points of view. Sure we have different cultures and religions but the biggest differance between us is basically skin color.
Im sure if we had a race like the drow on earth we would have been to war with them most of our lives. *shrugs* I personally play a drow and expect some people to hate her for what she is without knowing who she is. And she expects this as well. Part of her goal is to show that not all drow are evil butchers and prove herself much like her goddess Az'atta did. Just my 2 coppers. 10
General Discussion / RE: Worst Deaths« on: July 13, 2005, 11:33:00 PM »
Ive really only had one horribally string of deaths so far. Sul and I were travling through the high forrest mapping out the resources when I stumbled unto a large group of spiders, *At the time I didnt know the spawn size was dependant on the group*, so I died. No biggie, dieing is what i seem to do best. As we went back to retrive my tombstone we set up a couple traps to use as an excape route and I went foward to get my tombstone. I even casted darkenss over the group of spiders so they couldnt see me. as I approached the tombstone i realized the dang thing was under a harvestable tree and I couldnt click on it.
Well in the process of this the spiders some how saw me through the darkness and attacked. 2nd death. But unforntally Sul was killed as well. But just before I was killed I managed to highlight my tombstone so I knew there was hope. We went back into the high forrest and once again prepared, I casted darkenss on the group leaving plenty of it between them and myself and walked up to the tree. After about a minuate of spinning and zooming tha camera I managed to highlight the crave to select and... The spiders attacked Sul through my darkenss. Well I cant pray at my gravestone while combat is going on so I tried waiting but unforntally Sul died and recived a dt. I tried running to the next zone but as a ghost I wasnt moving very fast. I was killed and lost 8k xp. *sigh* Sul decided she was going to take a break and being stubbron I headed back for mine. Made it there and DUH... Realized I should sneak to the tree and get my tombstone.. Well that worked and I headed towards Port Hamp to go and help another friend get there body. I blame it on a lack of sleep but I went left in the broken forrest when I should of went right. Anyway three shades jumped me, killed me, another 8k gone and a dt. Some days ya should just stay in bed. lol. 11

It seem's I am going to half to learn about Blood's army's bit quicker then I had hoped. Tonight as I approached the rangers vale a few strange things occored. First I noticed that the forrest itself had grown deathly still. None of the normal animals who lived in the night seemed to be around, the insects themselved also seemed to have gone into hiding. As I was looking around trying to determin what was going on I happended to look to the sky, At first I thought it was clouding over to rain then I realized that it seemed somthing was swallowing the stars.
I continued onto the campsite and I ran into Mal and Nex who both looked as if they had seen a ghost. It turns out that the lady of the forrest had appeared to them and told them to seek out Rhizome and tell him that Milara was on the move. I followed them to town where we found a few others grouped around trying to figure out what was happening to the stars as well. As Nex and Mal told there story I suggested that we seek out Legodia, the druid of the high forrest, as to where Rhizome might be located. We set out and approached her campsite and inquired to his whereabouts. She told us to look for him at Lake Palden but warned us that he did not like to have his area bothered very much. I tried to suggest that we send a small group to speak with him but they charged foward without reguard to the warning Legodia had given us... I think some of thies dwarves and elves have spent to much time around the humans and let there better judgement become clouded. I followed at a distance and eventually came upon the group standing around Rhizome bombarding him with the same story from ten different angles... Eventually he got everyone calmed down, thankfully he didnt seem to disturbed by everyones presance, and had the ones who had first hand knowladge to step foward and tell there tale. After much debate he told us that we must wait and gather more information. I trust his judgement that we prepare ourselves before blindly running off trying to hack at the first thing we find. 12

Well I have made it back to town to start gathering supplies and take care of some business before we head to the Wolfswood. Seems its gona take about a week for everyone to get prepaired so I think im gona get a few orders taken care of and buy some new equipment for this journey. I ran into Ael at the Wild Surge Innm I had been hoping to run into him to ask for his help on a personal matter. I think I have figured out somthing I can do to show my thanks to Az'atta. I am going to track down her destroied temples and see if I can find any lost relics, If I do happen to find any I plan on taking them to Saudiria and give them to the temple where they can once again be used.
Another part of this journey is to gather the drow from Hlint and get them to working togeather as a team. I would like to see us all band togeather and make a place for ourselves on the surface as well as a safe haven for any drow excaping the everlasting night to come and start a new life. I spoke to Ael about this and it seem's he has been thinking of the same thing. He also spoke to me of a pristest of Az'atta that rescued him from his enslavement and nursed him back to health. He hopes that by helping me on my quest that he can find out if she is still alive or not. I also spoke to Suliss and Malandaar about getting there help and Ael said he would talk to two other drow he knew and try to get there help as well. If I can track down Mara I know she would want to help as well. After we parted Sul and I decided to head to Fort Velensk so I could feed the animals again. Shortly after we arrived I noticed that the animals were acting strangly like they were scared. I finally managed to determin that what ever was bothering them was comming from outside of town and I went to investigate. No more had I steped out of the towns gate then I was attacked by warerats!! Suliss joined in the battle and we managed to dispatch them though as the last warerat fell I caught a glimpse of a large wolf running to the north. I decided we needed to go to Port Hampshire and notify the authoritys there as well. Seem's we came in at the middle of a meeting so I wated paticently untill the Guard captin had finished giving the adventures there instructions for returning a prisioner from Fort Velensk. No sooner had there destination left the captians moutn then my ear started twitching again. I heard someone ask about a warewolf and as the guard captain was laughing saying there was nothing to worry about I steped foward and gave my report. Well Suliss and I decided to travle with the group as well and lo and behold as soon as we reached the fort we found it besiged by Ware creatures, I even got bit by one!! We managed to kill most of the creatures and drive the others off. We entered the prision to find the guards neary weaping in fear, one of them even wet himself!! We finally took the prisioner into custody and I had to agree with him that this man didnt seem to be an assassian but we returned him to Port hampshire anyway. When ozy woke him up form what ever he had given him to sedate him he was quite talkitave. *Side note written to the side of the paragraph* (I really need to see if I can get some of this potion from Ozy, it could come in quite handy.) As we were waiting for the captain to interigoate his prisioner the healer spoke to us about the attack and started telling us some of the symptoms. I started growing concerned as since the bite I wasnt fealing all that well and when Ozy asked for anyone who had been bitten to donate some blood for him to experimant with I voulinteered. As the healer spoke to us and told us that we needed to kill the Alpha male before any of us would be free of the curse Ozy once again asked for some more blood to make a potion to kill the beast I grumply accepted. I was starting to feal a bit hostile to thoues around me but I thought it was probally cause I was tired. As ozy finished his concotion he coted the weapons and arrows of the better or warriors and archers. With that we set out to track down the alpha male north or Fort Velensk. Through many battles my rage started to grow and I started to grow more and more recklace though for some reason I would pass by five warewolfs to attack one troll. I eventually fell through my recklaceness but thankfully a cleric raised me. With the Alpha warewolf dead and destroied, I plan on asking ozy exactly what he did to them, I started fealing a bit weak but the rage that had been building up in me was finally gone. One of thies days Ive got to start listening when my ear starts twitching... 13

Sometimes I think I should just stay in the inn... I awoke bright and early with the intention of heading down to Krandor to investigate into the rummors of thies dead bodys or humans and animals that have been found around Midstone seemingly drained of blood. As I was asking around to the locals I happended across a dwarf named Victor Firefall who was also looking into the deaths. Not having much luck with the locals we decided to try and find a inn to get a bite to eat and compair our notes when I saw off by some houses a cow laying on its side with a few flys gathering around it. As we ran over I saw that the beast had been killed in the same fashion I had heard the others were. It to was also drained of blood.
As we stood up from the corpse I decided to move the remaining two cows into the main part of town where they would be safer. As we finished moving the cows I caught a glimps of a few people milling about on the other side of town and decided to ask if they had saw anything strange. It turns out they were also looking around Krandor for information into the death as well. When I told them of the dead cow and the fashion it had been killed in they wanted to see it as well. As they was looking over the animal and old woman came out of her house and spotted the poor creature. She started crying and we found out the cow belonged to her and her family. As we talked to her she said she did know somthing about what did it and that it had happended before in the past. When another dwarf asked her just how long ago she said it was long before he as born. She then looked at each of us in turn and said that it had happended long before any of us were born. Now, I know thies humans tend to talk about things that had happended long in the past like they was a part of it but this old woman seemed to truly believe she had. Now ammong our party were elves, dwarves, drow and a few human and I have a hard time beliving that she was older then most of us here but somthing was making my ear twitch.. As we spoke to the old woman more her son kept trying to shut her up. Probally out of fear but the old woman silenced him and kept speaking. She then told us of an attack on her earlier that day and of a lost femily hairloom she wanted us to recover before she would tell us more. Now why would a old woman who had just lost one of her cattle suddendly be more concerned with some necklace then telling us who was responsible for the death of her livestock? At this point my left ear was virtully having a spasim and I told path about my concerns. He reassured me that we would take the necklace to a temple and determin if it was a threat or not before we would return it. So we all set off towards the High Forrest where she had been attacked travling north from Krandor. When we entered Fort Llast we came apon a dwarf lying to the side of the road nearly dead. It seems he had been attacked by the same beast though thankfully there was enough life left in him that our clerics could heal him. When he came to he jumped up and started talking rapidally about some evil that had attacked him. Some of the dwarves in the party seemed to know him and looked slightly concerned as he spoke of how easly this creature had overpowered him. We finally convinced him to travle with us in our search and continued to the forrest. When we finally reached the forrest we notices a series of wagon tracks and human tracks that we dicided to follow. Along the trail we was following we also found many other animals who had been attacked and drained as well. The humans tracks eventually led us the the Harmony Grove and I started to grow concerned that the druid who watches over this forrest had come to harm. As we entered the grove I took to the shadows and approached her test and found that other tents had been erracted in her clearing. When I reached the edge of the encampment I reconized three of the humans standing as the same three who was chasing the mysterious stranger with the flaming skull Mara and I saw a few days past. I made my way back to the bridge and whistled for the others to join me. When we had all gathered I told them of what I had seen and some of the more skilled of our members snuck into camp to get a better look. After a few minuted we diceded to approach the camp and find out what exactly was going on. Seems the leader of there group reconized me and wasnt happy that I was still snooping around trying to invistage the odd fellow I saw them chasing. The leader of our party spoke to there leader while Path snuck into camp to speak to the druid to see if she was in any danger. It turns out thies men are there with her blessings... Well that changes my opinion on thies men a bit but I would still like to know why they are being so secertive if there mission is just. Well the leaders of our group and of the humans retired to his tent to talk more so the rest of us are stuck standing outside waiting in the rain. I swear I didnt know it could rain so much for so long!! While we were waiting I decided to build a cook fire and prepair the rest of us somthing to eat under the protection of a nearby tree. After we were all fed and was releaxing around the fire the leaders came out from the tent and told us that thies men were our allies and that we had been fooled by the old woman. As there leader talked to us he said that our leader had bound herself to there cause and that we were all bound as well. Path gave her an odd look and said she seemed to be carrying a little extra baggage. Odd that but the look he gave her tells me there is somthing ealse going on that we are not being told. There leader told us that the old woman we saw was in fact a deamon by the name of Xithiiraa and that the real woman was injured and in his tent. God sometimes I wish that drow intutation of mine would just be wrong... Seemed this deamon was freed from her prision by its cult members, supprise suppirse its the dark figures that have been spooted around Midstone lately. And to top it off the necklace she sent us after is part of her prision it seems. We have been instructed to go to the Wolfwoods and find an elf to learn more about the location of the other pieces of her prision. We have all seperated for a short time to gather more information and supplies before we head to the continent of Rilarm and to the Wolfswood to find this elf but something tells me we are going to be seeing alot more of thies dark robed figures very soon... I think I had better buy a new sword and shield before we leave... 14

*sigh* By Az'atta I dont know how she put up with all the bigitory before she assended. I steped off the boat in Karthy today and was instantly arrested!! And do you know what the charge was? For being a DROW!!! I knew my kind was disliked and even hated on the surface but I had no idea I could be jailed for it! But I dregress, it seem's Az'atta had a reason for it all along. I neded up in a cell with a dwarf by the name of Harg. He disliked me the moment he saw what I was. After a bit he got so aggitated he tried ramming the bars with his head! After his third try he knocked himself out cold. The guards refused to get a healer for him so I was forced to rip a bit of my clothing and hold the rag over his wound while his head rested in my lap.
The next morning he awoke and jumped up and asked what I was doing to him... Well I let his insult pass and after awhile a nobleman came down into the dungeon and told the guard to release us all. They even released me with them as well though for a moment I thought Haug was going to have me put back in the cell. It seems Haug was working for this nobleman dilvering some item to the temple of Rofirein. I neded up tagging along with them as I wanted to get out of town as fast as possible. When we reached Dregar and left the port we all voted and decided to open the chest to make sure the item inside hadnt been switched with somthing dangerous. As luck would have it I was standing on a near by hilltop where I could keep watch better when I noticed thoues around the chest started acting hostile towards each other. It poped into my head what the cursed item did and I yelled for everyone to get away from it. Most did except for the dwarf who opended it as he was caught in its spell. The effected dwarf ran off and we gave chase where we managed to corner him and knock him out. Though right then the nobleman showed up with his guard and tried to take the item from us. His guard summoned a red dragon!! I have heard that a dragon has the abailty to cause great fear in thoues around it but I had no idea untill I felt it for myself, I couldnt do anything but run and I didnt care where I was running as long as it was away from that horribal creature. But as luck would have it only a few of us died and Haug, who seemed to be uneffected by the item, was able to drag the dead to the temple where our companions were revived. While we were talking I learned that we were on Dregar! The continant Ozy told me I could find Az'atta's temple!! I grew excited and asked the group if we could go there but they said the journy was to long and dangerous. I walked outside of the temple a bit depressed when somthing unexpected happended. Haug walked up to me and told me he would take me to the temple!! I couldnt help myself and huged him. He hollered somthing and ran off but I couldnt help but smile. The jounry would of been impossible if not for Haug, he is quite a dwarf. When we reached Saudiria he said he would wait for me and to take my time. With tears in my eyes I entered my goddess'es temple and knelt at a large fountain and prayed to my goddess in her house. I stayed the night in prayer, all other thought or concern was gone untill about noon the next day when I emerged, fealing a peace I had never felt before to find Haug sitting paticantly outside waiting for me. We spoke of my past for awhile before we made the journy back to Port Hamp. For as long as I live I will never be able to properly thank him for what he did for me though I hope I get the chance to try. 15

Hrmm, somthing strange happended outside of Hlint today. Mara and I were headed out to do a little hunting when A strange man walked by carrying a flaming skull!! We went to follow him but he had vanished into thin air without a trace!! We had circled back to here we first met him when a small group of men showed up looking for someone. After we inquired if we might be of assistance we found out they were looking for the man we had tried to follow. We spoke to them for a little bit and I got the fealing they werent quite telling us everything. When they left Mara casted invisibality on us and we tried to follow but they as well vanished without a trace. I told Mara to keep searching for us while I went back to report what we had seen to the guard.
And supprise supprise what little good that did, expecially when I removed my helmet and he saw I was drow. All he was interested in doing then was insulting me when another gentleman walked up and came to my defence! Quite astonishing. It turns out he was looking for Mara so I took him back with me. He introduced himself as Hyell and I thanked him for helping me with the guard captain. I believe this was the old friend she had been telling me about. When we found Mara they started to talk and on my sisters request I excused myself and headed back to town. On a side note Mara and I have decided to save up and get a house togeather. I just hope I can find enough people to buy silk and egg's to where I can afford my half of it. 16

Well today has been quite interesting. I met a man by the name of Ozy and I must say I have never been greeted in such a fashion before! After asking me a couple questions and of who I worshiped he asked if I carryed her symbol on me. When I pulled out my necklace and showed him he walked up and licked it then licked me!! I was rather supprised at this and inquired about his reasoning. It turns out he can understand things from tasting it. I must look into this abailty further.
I also met a companion of Ozy's named Celgar and his giant golum named Faith. Ozy said he would travle with me to Port Hamp where I could ask questions of him if I wished. It turns out Ozy is one of thies, how do I describe it, joined souls mabby? Part of his soul is from this plane and part of his soul comes from another plane! And his wounds!! I feal so sorry for him, I know he has done horribal things from what he has told me but he seem's remorseful. I wish to help him but he says the only way he will survive is if he kill's a god! He let somthing slip about needing one of the origional 12 elven moon blades, what ever thoues are. He stoped himself from saying more and I didnt want to pry any further. I also had a chance to speak with Faith about a place called Mechanon or somthing like that. It is the world of pure metal where golums and other things are created. I think Ozy has been there before as well from the way he spoke. I didnt even know it was possibal to visit other worlds!! I wonder if I might be able to visit one some day? 17

Well I have negleted writing in this book for a few days but I will try to recall everything. I met a wonderfull couple in the past week. Malandar and his girlfriend Miranda. I have spent quite a bit of time with them and enjoy there company emensly. I have also started gathering egg's for Nex to use for making ink as well. I am stumped about the cow's though. I have tried feeding everything I can thing of but they dont seem interested.
I have also started to rent a room in one of Path's houses. This man is quite somthing. He runs a business with a few of his companions, owns multipal houses, but from what I can gather he prefers to sleep in the woods. Im not sure what to make of him other then he is a good friend. 18

Praise Az'atta!! Today has been better then I could of possibally dreamed! I woke up this morning and headed out into the woods with Path who was helping me gather some Pipeweed for the new pipe he crafted for me when all of a sudden I realized that the sun no longer bothered my eye's!! I never thought I would adjust this quickly and believe my goddess and granted me a gift to help me in my quest.
Later after we had returned to town and said our goodby's I noticed a red haired drow by the name of Marainna. We hit it off almost instantly and she even took me to the local armorsmith and helped me modify my armor so we looked alike. It is good to have someone that feals like a long lost sister to spend time with. We have even began refering to each other as such. I thank Az'atta for this day, and better yet Mara follows the same goddess as I. We headed out and hunted a bit togeather as she knew where a couple of the animals I needed to skin for the local trapper were located. 19

Well today has been a good day. I have finally found work making scrolls for a wizard by the name of Nex Wintergaard. He is seeking someone to make hickory scrolls and took the time to teach me how to gather the sawdust from the wood and to press and bake it properly to make it into blank scrolls which he can scribe spells upon. I would of never thought that a wizard would part with knowladge of any type to someone without gaining somthing in return. He is even paying me for the scroll's I make him!!
So much is different here on the surface then it was back home. People do things for others out of the kindness of there hearts without a thought of payment. Ive even been helping the local quartermaster thin out the number of goblins in the Wastelands. There is a merchant here in town that wants me to go down the red light caves and bring him the head of the goblin chief. Even though this is a bit of a gruseom task I have agreed as his desires are just, he is a trader and the goblins have been raiding his wagons as they travle the roads. I will set out tomorrow and see if I can acomplish this task. 20

Well I have been in Hlint now for almost three days and I must say I recived a much warmer welcome then I had expected. First off I had a dream my first night here of a great golden dragon who told me that I must be a part of this war against Blood and his forces. I took this as a sign from Az'atta and I agreed to help. When I awoke I entered the town fealing that all would be well. For the most part it did go well except the guard captain watches me like he expects me to sprout horns and start eating children at and moment...
I met a many very helpfull people in my short time here. A dwarf by the name of Nossyla Steele, a ranger that ask's me to call him Path, and so many others I cant begin to keep there names stright! Praise Az'atta for telling me to come here. For the first time in my life I actually feal like I belong and I dont fear being myself, though I still worry about weither my family will come looking for me to kill me for the embarasment I have caused them. But I can not let that stop me from my new path in life, I will strive to spread Az'atta's glory to thies surface dwealers. *I wanted to add a quick note to appoligise to everyone I didnt add in here. Its been a couple weeks since I started and I really cant remember who all helped me thoues first days though I greatly appricated the help you did give. *
