* continuation from last journal entry *
After a well deserved rest, I decided to look around the area. I discovered that hlint is quite a small town, but it does have many of the adventuring basic needs. After purchasing some stuff from the local merchants I continued my look around town, thats when I came across the graveyard. It was lonely and sad looking, but yet it seemed used. So I decided to go into the crypts, my first bad mistake.
On entering I discovered the creatures called skeletons, i read about them before but have never seen them in real life. Its cold empty eye sockets searched me, it picked up its axe in hand and began to run towards me. In fear I grabed the small new mace I bought and hit the creature. It took the first hit, but it looked rather weakend, but it continued its attack. The second swing took him down. As I watched the poor creature die for another time I realized that he had caught me with the sharp edge of his axe on my arm. I managed to heal myself before I continued on, I soon discovered other techniques my goddess gave me. When I called to her for help I released some kind of magic, making the skeletons retreat. I also nearly met death in those crypts, I was lucky my goddess pityied me and allowed me to live. Now I'll be more careful with the undead.
