Layonara Server / RE: Spells altered?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if spells have been altered to have less duration (and thus make them not as good), doesn't that make it pretty tough playing a caster? I mean, you've now got weaker (than Bioware) spells, and you have to have components to cast them, some of which can be expensive or difficult to find...

Answer me this:
Do you, the real you, run everywhere that you go? I'd be surprised if anyone can answer this truthfully with a "yes".

My point is, I find it frustrating, on what is supposedly a high-RP world, that everyone runs everywhere. I understand that places are far away, and that it's faster to run. I do it myself when I'm on my own. Fair enough. But running through the middle of town? I find that it detracts slightly from the the RP value of it all. So please, just try walking through town at least. Who knows, you might end up getting involved in more parties if you do, since people will actually have time to pull you up and talk to you.

Layonara Server / Can Rangers Track?

Just wondering if Rangers in Layo are supplied with a tracking tool, as I've seen on some other servers, or otherwise given some way to Track. If so, could someone please tell me what it is and how it works?

CNR Suggestions/Discussion / What can tinkerers make?

I was just wondering if anyone could give me a vague idea of the sorts of things that experienced tinkerers can make. I'm not looking for exact information, but I'd like to know if they can make more than traps and arrowheads...

Okay, I've seen that spell-casting requires components on this server. I think that could be really interesting. My question is:

Have any spells on this server been altered from their Bioware version? If so, where would I be able to find out what has been altered and how?
