General Discussion / RE: Stone Has Fallen thread« on: January 03, 2006, 02:39:00 PM »
Maybe setup the Guards like the Griffons near Fort Hope. Make it so they wont go through to chase. Besides they are guards not hunters... Just make it so they auto heal and rebuff so people cant use it as a way to wear down the guards... Not everyone is Clued in to what happened there and it is Very OOC to think eveyone has psycic powers or hangs around the rumor mill to know every what is what going on around the world. Infact it seems a bit out of place for people to have such extensive knowledge of things happeing tens of miles away, given most people only knew what was happening in the village they live in.

Fixed Bugs / RE: run away ox - ox on a lead not following« on: December 14, 2005, 05:59:00 AM »
How about some RP some big lunk fighter to play Ox for you.... I got this Lokri guy to carry a ton of my stuff (being a Dorandite) and he is handy in a pinch. Sure he is grumpy and takes half the loot but heck I'd not be alive most the time if it was not for him... RP does wonders...

Planar Ally (6th level Cleric)
Cleric 11th level, Dorand, TN Green Salaad Just to verify a TN God or Cleric will have a NE Ally.. I have not tried the Critter out in combat yet. If need be I will use him but it looks odd for N to summon Evil.. Guess in OOC I will explain it's a bug if it is until it's fixed and to have everyone pretend (we all remember how dont we?) it is a proper Ally as I see no reason to punish myself for a bug. 5
Layonara Server / RE: Emote Wand "Follow" Ability Removed in Next Update« on: December 01, 2005, 01:44:00 PM »
I use barter with the lead person to type while I walk. Better would be to use a voice over IP program but finding people willing to go through the small hassle to set it up is rare at best. Coming from the land of table top playing all night wired on caffine and sugar the whole typing thing is SO yucky to put it mildly. And in Combat when the heat is on, fergit it.
Maybe NWN2 will address this but I doubt it. 6
General Discussion / RE: Bugs created by the latest batch. Read!« on: November 23, 2005, 12:16:00 PM »
Well this is one bug I hope they fix sooner than later. At time when I go to type to someone I hit the return key but it does not register and I instead am typing commands. And as I am a fairly fast typer I can get about four words in before I realize I am not typing anything. As the T key is bound to rest for me and T is common I try to rest in my armor.. ANYWAY... Hope it's fixed soon but I am very glad there is a work around.

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / RE: Return the PC vendors« on: October 04, 2005, 07:03:00 PM »
Bump.
Just got done browsing a thread about CNR and some folk were not liking having to spend so much time running around to get things like.... Sandpaper.. I have seen the treads for selling things IC here in the Forums which better than nothing and I have seen Players trying to be merchants. Kudos to them and the time and effort they put in. But having venders would expand this while not displacing the others. It would seem nice for venders to pick up the slack for low level items like Sandpaper, or greenstones, or whatever is more common. Maybe set it up so that some venders only accept ore, or one type of item. Have them buy at X and sell at 2X.. Keep it simple. Hope this comes around it would be a nice boost. 9
Wild Surge Inn / RE: where to stop and shop« on: September 28, 2005, 05:40:00 AM »
//New to server, but having NPCs in each city that can tell PC which roads are safe to travel and which ones have isssues like the griffons would give enough info that low level like me can get out of hlint. Not that the NPC should tell every detail of the areas but just a watch out or a generally safe if you stick to the roads would be nice and is totally IC for NPC to have that general knowledge and want to share with others.

Layonara Server / Server Issues« on: November 27, 2005, 02:52:00 PM »
I know the team is working hard to resolve issues about server performance. I want to thank them for all the hard work at this time and for them to not take the following as anything but, what I hope is seen, constructive.
With all the custom scripts and other burdens on the server I think the player limit of 64 too high. Today (11-27-05 PST) a GM ran an event with about 30 players while about another 15 or more were on for a player load of 45. The lag was insane. The server crashed at least 2 times, but did come back with out issue. I "lost" my ox due to I dont know what, as I had cleared the areas I moved through of monsters. Gone with all the items on board. If lowering the limit is not an option how about moving the maps for Rilara to the East Server which sits empty at least 90% of the time to better use resources? Might as well move the other islands too. So just keep Mistone on the West server as the load of players is more than enough to tax it. I know GM want to include as many people as they can in the events but it seems the lag with the large groups is too much. I will not join any event with more than 10 for the Lag reasons. Death is far too easy and the current policy of no challenge for DTs or lost GP is more than enough reason for anyone to steer clear of such events. I know some themes such as the Current Blood Invasion can not help but involve all, but many of the sub quests dont seem to warrent the group sizes. If these issues are being covered in anohter thread then sorry for the repeat. Again Great job on the best PW out there! Keep it up. 12

Fixed Bugs / White/Polar Tiger Hide not Craftable« on: November 09, 2005, 07:59:00 AM »
I may have missed it but I am sure I looked in all three hide sizes. No entry for White/Polar Tiger Hide at least at the Public Crafthouse in Hlint. If I have missed this some where I am sorry for the bother. If the Hide is not to be craftable then maybe modify the script to not drop the hide... Not really a bug just maybe an oversight.. There is always the Trash Can
