Greetings fellow Lightfoot, Sally Brambleleaf here, I've been away from Hlint for a long, long while and have lost touch with pretty much everyone I knew, have just got back. It would be my pleasure to meet up with a bunch of sensible-sized people for some decent food and ale, and to reintroduce myself into Hlint society. Would be delighted to meet you all!

Sally

No no no. What they are saying is that PLAYERS come from all these countries, not teams.

I rest my case  :)

BTW I hope people aren't taking my comments too seriously - I just can't help finding it funny that there is a "World Series" with teams from only one country  (or is it two - does Canada have any teams in the World Series?)!  :)

Congratulations to the White Sox, though!

Mexico
well, lot of South American countries

Er... Texas hasn't been an independent country since before the American Civil War AFAIK...

Canada
Australia

and I am sure more than this. All have players from these countries. Can anyone else think of one I missed, I know they are out there?

So all these countries have teams that participate in the World Series? I thought only US teams played. Which teams from Cuba play in the World series?

*grins* i guess most professionel sports leagues have players from lots of contries.

Indeed, for example the English Premier League  has football (or "soccer" (sic)) teams which have a great many  players from all over the world, but its hardly the World Cup. Sorry, I will stop baiting now...  ;)

Pankoki - 10/27/2005  3:45 PM  There is active recruitment all around the world. Heh the coach of the team that won is from Venezuela, so you can do the maths. However it takes place in the united states as it is the only country that actively supports the sport in an international level. So yeah its pure semantics, but thats just a silly argument.
So one country then? I see...  :)

Just out of interest, how many different countries participate in this "World Series" you talk of?  ;)

I'd say yes to a NWN2 version of Layonara, BUT only when NWM 2 is available for both PCs and Macs, otherwise Mac users like me will be left out  :(

We will only change this sort of thing if it is something that was major in a characters life (IE some major CDQ or and ECDQ thing).  We already have a lot of work on our plate so make sure your requests are important to your character and not just some modification for general purposes.

My problem was that I didn't fill in the character description box initially at all when I created my character (I'd never played an online game before, so it didn't occur to me until later), but I really regret not doing this now, so would like to rectify this situation. My proposed character description (see: http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=18890&posts=3 ) is entirely in-tune with the character bio for my submission (see: http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=18559&posts=7 ) which was accepted. Hope this is all okay.

Your character is on the server, so you can't change it on your own, only GMs can do that. Write a request in the Grievances, Reimbursement section...
here's a link for my request:

Where is the option

"celebrating xmas is against my religious and or political believes, besides Jesus wasn't born on the 24 of december since the sheep herders were watching the flock during the lambing season"...

LOL! I can sympathise with your point, though I guess what really matters is whether Leanthar celebrates Christmas or not, not the giver

Is there any where that I can find more information about the Demon Card game?  I've heard a few mentions on it and did a forum search but can't find anything that goes in depth on it.  Sounds like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokimon or something.

Is that the game you can play at the Inn in Hlint? I think in the room where you can gamble there is a book you can read with instructions on how to play

The short bow stave is one of the recipies under lumber, but it might be on page 2 so you would have to pres "7 - next" (or something similar) one of the options on the bottom of the page.

Found it, was indeed on the next page, thanks

Don't really need a cdq, but yeah. She went Shadon. Too late! She's a Shadonite, don't try to change her mind!

BTW nice to meet you in Layonara last night Acacea :)

[I have a halfling rogue who wants to specialise in woodcrafting (to make bows and arrows, mostly), but I only have str 10 (and dex 17 - probably 18 soon, though) - is my strength too low to get good at this?

The biggest problem with low strength with in terms woodcrafting is the damage resistance of the trees, that makes it difficult to gather lumber unless you have power attack.

Yeah, I did manage to chop some hickory branches, but it took quite a while...

Wood Crafting - bowcrafting & fletching - Dexterity (55%), Strength (45%)
