Yup! the lions and the cougars take a bit too. Someone told me it was something like the group spawns every half hour.

well if you don't want to tinker yourself and make them, try and find a tinkerer in the game and see what they charge. You'll not find an NPC trap seller in Layo. Make a thread in the Trade Forum and ask for a trap maker and their costs.

General Discussion / RE: People's Prices vs The Zero Pricing Guide

Right ... my issue that i'm talking about here has to do with those people going lower than the pricing guide to the point 'L' had to tell this person to adjust his prices accordingly. I understand and respect the concept of the pricing guide and have no issues following it. I just think it has already gone overboard (or under board in this case ;) ) and am curious how this issue is handled.

I've seen this person in game for as long as i've been on this server, and he has always been a helpful and fun PC. He is trying to compete on his own against these lower prices and ends up being the one getting in trouble. In my opinion, he wasn't the one doing the wrong because he is actually advertising making his prices clear while trying to compete with all the people out there selling too cheap and doing it secretively. He became a victim to the problem that already exists on the server. I'm not saying 'L' is wrong because he is only trying to keep things fair for all players. The problem is that the issue is already a deep one. There are prices out there cheaper than what you'll see posted in any trade thread.

People aren't going to turn in someone for selling them an item cheap because they just got a bargain. And sells happen in TELL mode all the time with cheap prices ... so those of you doing the right thing, are gwetting sold out by these 'black market' prices.

Well I guarantee you that the person that made the nature fighting back post was unaware that owlbears were not natural creatures, so i'll get him to repost something that makes more sense ;)

General Discussion / RE: Loot

That seems a different topic to me all together but it annoys me to no end when people stop to 'help' me when i'm not in any trouble in the first place! Two places specifically that this happened to me is in the Broken Forest and just out side when I was taking out the ogres ... both times people came into the area and 'helped me' then got mad at me when I simply looted my corpes, wrote *shakes his head in aggrevation*, and did not say thank you for something that deserved no thanks whatso ever. If my status had sad badly injured or near death, I would have accepted the help graciously and allowed them the loot as payment for saving my life.

Bottom line, don't assume someone needs help, ask first or at least use the injury status to RP why you aided in the first place. Someone who is badly injured or near death would look obviously well beaten up an in trouble. Both times, my XP was stolen from me when I was in complete control. Heck, my dire spider kills all the danged ogres off (along with my longbow) once I drop a call lightening into the mix on top of the ogre mage.

Interesting ... never thought the two would be seperate ... just assumed delete the one it takes care of the other ... at least with the saying that goes with assume, I only made an arse out of myself :)

Or have the old PC deleted by a GM/ Leanther so that the server no longer recognizes the PC name.

I tend to stick with the things I enjoy the most ... Paladins and Priests. I've always enjoyed these types of PCs more than the others especially for campaign driven/world concepts where you hae to live with your PC for quite a long time. I don't pay attention to how I set my stats and create the character concept first (Layo's version of a Bio) then try to adjust the stats simply to fit my idea.

Elf, Rapier, Magic ... sounds like fun, I hope you enjoy :)

Cable Modem completely rocks! If I had to use anything else after having this for the past two years, i'd *refrains from finishing sentence so as not to make those without cable modem feel bad*

In truth, what I was spending on 56k ($19.95/month) was not that bads of a difference to cable modem ($39.95). It is double the price but twenty times better :)

And there are plenty of new players that come to the game every week like me ... so don't feel intimidated/worried that the server will be full of high level PCS and no one for you to adventure with ;)

Maybe I missed something but why spellcraft as a fighter?

Also, if you put your DEX at a 14, then yes you'll lose the dex bonus ... i'd wear the banded or splint mail armors. Gives you the AC 6 plus allows you a Dex Bonus of +2 :) and will allow you a bit more room to carry stuff.

But, not sure about those mobility feats though, because it says I get more AC when I get an attack of opportunity - when tumble can cover that....

True tumble covers this if you make your save roll which is based on DEX which you were going to leave at a 10. That's why i'd up my DEX and have them both ... works great for theives trying to avoid getting hit :)
