Greetings. Who needs reality when we have such a good escape from it anyway?
Welcome! 5

Dang.... farewell and sorry I never really got to RP with you at all. Just keep in mind that real life sometimes has to come first. This will unfortunately never change, but you're doing the right thing keeping your head above water.
Good luck to you! 6

General Discussion / RE: Swearing/Cussing -- Whatever you may want to call it« on: November 19, 2005, 04:05:00 PM »
I agree. I find it refreshing that there's a place on the internet where you can play without being overcome by overzealous players, bots, swearing, pornography, etc. If I had kids I would actually allow them to play on this server.
Well done! 11

Hmm... for some reason the top link doesn't work (for me at least), but I did put my vote in on the bottom one.

Development Journals and Discussion / RE: Gizmodo Barenesto's Book of Wonderous Adventures« on: November 16, 2005, 06:25:00 AM »
Today was quite eventful even through the eyes of a drunken haze. I drank heavily today and it seems possible that I may have for once gone a little too far, because I experienced some effects that didn't seem quite right, at least at first.
Starting the day off in the Hlint graveyard and suddenly realizing I had neither a torch to light my way or a proper club to rattle the cages of the skeletons that appear to haunt these crypts, I journied around town where I met an extremely helpful fellow named Silvar. He took me to the local weapons and armor shop and also proceeded to introduce me to the postmaster and a fella named Johan who seems to enjoy collecting some rather odd items. The postmaster also has me running some errands for him delilvering mail to folks that I'm quite sure if I could find myself, he could find if he simply walked a little further around town. Seems like a bit of a lazy sort to me. Now as I was on my way to collect some goblin ears for Johan, I met a young cleric by the name of Catringa, being harassed by a group of goblins. Due to my bravery, she made it out alive and decided it would be safer to join my small group of adventurers. After a slight reprieve at the inn, I once again regained consciousness, dusted myself off and headed back out into the world, where I met a most interesting druid named Brisbane. Oddly enough I thought I had sobered up a bit but she caused me to hallucinate worse than ever by not only turning my skin into that of a tree (an effect I'd experienced early today as well) but stone as well, and then, THEN I turned invisible! I whitnessed Acasea do this yesterday and it tripped my trigger then, but when I turned invisible it was almost too much for me to handle. I get the feeling that Brisbane is quite a powerful individual. Quite scantily dressed, however. I averted my eyes on more than one occasion to avoid personal embarassment. She also seems to have quite the crush on another seemingly powerful fella named Ozy. I joined up with these two for a short bit of adventuring through the swamps where again my eyes got the better of my brain as I whitnessed Brisbane change form into a bear! I keep telling myself that I should slow down on the bottle, yet this little voice keeps telling me to drink on. Bless you Shadon! I also met Naghi on this adventure. Quite a shot with a bow let me tell you! 14

General Discussion / Suffering from withdrawl« on: December 04, 2005, 02:10:00 AM »
So I'm pretty new to Layo and so far I have to say the experience has been pretty darn good.
However... I was recently stationed in Hawaii with the 209th ASB near Schofield Bks. Life here isn't too bad, save for the fact that my internet connection sucks. That, and we're approxomately 6 months away from deployment. So, I would have to say that Gizmodo is suffering from Layo withdrawl. Shouldn't be too much longer until I can play (a couple of weeks probably), but for all of you out there who are addicted to Layo like I am and find yourself suddenly unable to play, I now have sympathy for you. 17
Development Journals and Discussion / Gizmodo Barenesto's Book of Wonderous Adventures« on: November 14, 2005, 07:31:00 PM »
Earlier today I found myself in Hlint, what seems to be the main lands of Layonara. I went on a quest that almost got my killed, yet I gained much from the experience. Many Xorns were slain, and the party almost suffered dire consequences.
We then left the caves and journied through the woods where we found ourselves being attacked by mercenaries. This could have turned ugly, if it wouldn't have been for my bravery and a sharp edge. Later in the evening I met a little halfing named Acacea. She seems to be of the house of Shadon herself, yet I haven't found this out for sure. Time may reveal these answers. 18

Hi, I just finished playing through Neverwinter Nights and since I wanted to do more I found myself here. I just posted a new character, and look forward to playing in the world of Layonara.
