Wild Surge Inn / RE: Newcomers Find Safety in Numbers« on: November 29, 2005, 02:28:00 PM »
Ashemar chuckles as he reads the notice, his eyes dancing with merriment.
"I needed to return home to Port Hampshire anyway, so this seems a good opportunity to do so with company. And with a well-known bard as well. I hope he's not a dancer...I hate travelling with dancers. The path weaves far too much when they lead." Sitting at nearby table in the inn, he orders some food and drink, taking his time in scribing a reply in a languid flowing script: Master Witseeker, I would be honoured to be counted amongst your intrepid band of explorers. While I am from Port Hampshire myself, I am unfamiliar with the routes. I will meet you here on that day if you accept my company. Oh, and you are not a dancer are you? Sincerely, Ashemar Arikel Aleanrahel 2

Nice read. It's tough to describe combat involving more than two people sometimes, but you pulled it off quite well. =)
Keep 'em coming! 4

Great!
Not that I mind it being barren, but sometimes you want to actually want to interact with non-scripted people. hehe Appreciate the replies. Time to work on the character I suppose. Decisions, decisions... 5
General Discussion / Thank you« on: November 29, 2005, 02:04:00 PM »
I have been trying to find a way to say thank you that does not sound like I am "kissing-up" or trying for brownie points. Failing that, I will just say a general Thank You to the community here.
What I have seen of the world here so far is great! A lot of hard work has gone into this. Thank you. The community here has been very helpful, even if I am asking a somewhat naive question. They will send me to the proper area or a link to what I need to know. Or even give me a friendly slap upside the head when I have done something stupid. It has literally been years since I have joined a community that involved any kind of gaming that did not get reduced to flaming and insults by a few idiots. I have seen none of that here...even after going through posts over a year old. Mature gamers...so rare nowdays. Thank you. And thanks to the DMs. Especially the character quality crew. You provide input and ask for details without being condescending or spoiling a character concept. That is much appreciated. Thank you...I know it can't always be that fun to read so many backgrounds. Rio 6

Hi. Newbie here. heh. Had a question.
I logged in the server and went through the opening scenes. When I clicked on the statue I lost most of my inventory including two spells, my dicebag, and my emote wand. Is this supposed to happen? Gah, I should have slept before playing but I was excited about getting approved. =) 7
General Discussion / Question on playtimes« on: November 22, 2005, 05:41:00 PM »
Greetings!
I just bought NWN after a few years of putting it off. Just finally couldn't resist the Diamond edition. Needless to say, I am loving it after only a few days. I have been looking around online for a good persistant world that is roleplay-oriented and this is the best I have seen so far. The community here seems well-formed and the staff takes the time to work out issues. Anyway, on to my question: I live in the CST (Texas..heh). Except for weekends, when I can play anytime, I woudl only be able to play after midnight due to work. Is there a decent "overnight" crowd that plays? Or is it like most games I have tried and somewhat barren?
