He lays down on his bed in their house in Pranzis.
Now that he bought this book, it was a nice book, showing a drawing of a black dragon with blazing red eyes on its cover, he was thinking of writing his story, of his adventures, his friends and of course his work for the Shadow Thieves.
Hmmm, where to begin...
he tries to remember his childhood
My mother I have never known, although father told me that she was a demon spawn, a half demon, a Tiefling, does that make me one too? But then a quarter demon? I have the feeling that there does rush demon blood through my veins...
He thinks about it and nods
Then my father, he was the best father you could wish, but then...
A tear drops on his doublet
Why? Why did he want the best for me? Why did he oppose the government? Why did he had to die? One day, I will take revenge...
He washes his tears away
My aunt and uncle took me in their home, I learned about a thieves and assassins guild called the Shadow Thieves. My aunt and uncle both worked for them, so naturally they send me to join them also. I was soon the best student of my class.
He grins
I always enjoyed sneaking up on the backs of my mates, they didn’t, I gave them heart attacks they said. In those years nothing really happened, I learned to steal, to unlock chests and doors, and lots more. I also gained the code name Blackfang.
Then one night I woke up suddenly, but I wasn’t in bed anymore, I stood in front of a big dragon who told me several things about a war and stuff, I don’t really remember what because I was stunned by the greatness of that dragon. Then I fell asleep again, and I woke up in a little town called Hlint, no clue how I got there.
He sighs, finally there was some excitement in his live
I immediately send a message to my guild master, told him I was in Hlint, he knew that town and he asked me to keep an eye on things there, but don’t let them know I was a Shadow Thief, just try to live a life as normal as possible. So I did, I helped local people, and did quests with other travellers, I made friends, like Dulan, a priest of Toran, and Karana, a big barbarian woman. I soon learned I could summon shadows, making a small area extremely dark. I wonder, could that be my demon side? I met a couple of other thieves and told them about the Shadow Thieves, some seemed very interested, so I send messages to my guild master, I hope they can join, I’d like to have some other Shadow Thieves around me.
All these quest were good training and I soon could shoot arrows rapidly, or hit monsters in arms or legs. Also I have sneaked out of the most miserable situation, concerning ogres, small dragons and other evil beasts . I also began to craft, starting with arrows, then, on one day I was asked to join a crafters/adventurers guild called the Un-named they needed a good tinkerer, so I tried and soon found out if was a natural. This guild had a house in Pranzis, and I gained a room in it, and now I’m sitting here writing my story in our house in Pranzis.
He sighs happily, and says to himself “from now on I will keep this book as my diary”
He closes his book, still showing the black dragon with his blazing red eyes.
