I would like the Iron Short Sword with impressive Fire and Silver enchantments.

I have Bracers of scout, a minor enchanted greatsword and Three Thousand True (alternatively, if you give me a little time, I will come up with the full amount)

I will, no doubt, require your services again and hope I can find ways to gain your favour and a discount. If there are materials you are in need of I will seek them out in future.

Introduce Yourself / Hello

Hey everybody,

I've been playing about a month now as Dreagen Frey, who some of you must have met by now.

I'm Mike, 23 and a fairly recent graduate living in Aberdeen working a temp job in an office before (hopefully) moving back to somewhere in England within the next few months. I'm really enjoying Layo at the moment. I haven't managed to take part in a proper DM event yet, but I'm hoping to do so soon.

In need of short swords for a young Elven hunter that won't need replacing too quickly as my skills develop. I have 2,500 true to spend on either a suitable pair, or a superior single blade, providing I am impressed at the quality.

I also have bracers of the scout to offer in trade if my gold is insufficient.

Roleplaying / Low charisma but...

I'm playing a character with a charisma of 6, but I've taken skills in persuade, bluff and intimidate to reflect on oratry skills and a general striving to better communication.

I am almost always polite, without trying to influence others (if anything I am a little too polite, showing my inability to speak naturally) I am rarely outspoken unless through genuine dislike of another chracter's action and attempts at humour are often clumsy (although with int 14 I allow for some wit)

In an average interaction with a group this may not come through, as being polite is all that is necessary and generally accepted during a game. Is this acceptable, or even with cha skills should I be playing it differently?

(I have spent some time thinking about this so no quick judgments, I'd like some critical advice)

Day four in this new city

My skills have increased rapidly in this dangerous environment. I have been in mortal danger a nuumber of times but by the same token I have met numerous strangers who have quickly become friends. Generosity and kindness of a kind I would only have expected from family has been given freely. I feel so far that I have made the right choice is coming here.

I am concerned that I have seen armed Drow and Orcs wonder within the city walls, but if I have become used to the acceptance of strangers I must behave in such a way aswell. It is difficult to adjust to such a different culture but not unpleasant.

I have custom blades and clothes, a most generous gift from a fellow adventurer, and I feel ready for what the following days and weeks will bring.
