General Discussion / Re: i know some people have been quiet of late« on: June 25, 2007, 07:05:48 AM »
Well, until I get a new computer (and that won't be happening anytime soon) I can't play NWN2.
When I first got NWN, I played solo. Then I heard about this wonderful, persistent world called Layonara. I haven't even finished the solo adventure of NWN since I found this place. The friendships, the rping and the world are what keep me coming back night after night. I love this place. My fear is that I won't be able to play the next generation of Layonara because of my old computer. So I play now. Like others have said, a year is a long time for our characters. I'll be here until the last days if I can. Like a drunk at a bar once said, "I love you guys!" Kolskeggr 2
General Discussion / Re: A post to the community regarding DM encounters« on: June 21, 2007, 05:49:50 PM »
I have encountered a couple of your spawn's and I will say that it definitely enhanced the experience. You were actually the first GM I had the fortune to encounter in my Layonara experience. You gave very good advice and helped me to do better role play.
I applaud you and all the other GM's for the time and effort you guys put into this game. I understand that it is voluntary, and that makes it even more special. Thanks, Kolskeggr 3

So, is there anything happening with this? If this group forms, is there going to be a forum to check in with to see what's going on with the group?
I'm still very interested in doing this. I plan on staying in Layonara to the very last days. Heck, I just started out, and want to keep playing. Seems like a lot of others have left for one reason are another. Kinda sad really. Oh well, keep me informed on what is going on. Thanks 5

Introduce Yourself / Re: sup« on: May 23, 2007, 11:10:20 AM »
Greetings,
Just a bit of info, NarutoFan96 is my son. He has been watching me play and desperately wanted to try Layonara. I've been helping him with his character creation and explaining all of the rules to him. Hopefully, he'll merge right on in and be a better player than me *winks*. He is ten, will be eleven in August, so if there is any problem(s), please let me know. Thanks so much for being a great place to game Kolskeggr 9
Wild Surge Inn / Re: The Dragon's Whisper -BOUNTY- Creatures from the abyss« on: May 20, 2007, 12:59:54 AM »
I have seen this creature that you speak of. It was seen in the fields of Port Hempstead. A group of us tracked it to a cave in the Ire Mountains. We followed it in and then lost its tracks. A majority of us were then paralyzed and deafened by its hideous howl. I may be called a coward for this, but we ran out of that cave as fast as we could. I hope that if I see the likes of that creature again, I will be more prepared.

The Journey Continues
I do so enjoy the cities, but I have started to feel more and more comfortable outside. I have been making camp in the local woods instead of sleeping at the inns. This feels right to me. I usually spend the mornings fishing and foraging. The fishing relaxes me after a day of exploits. Speaking of exploits, the mission with Taric went well, that is, untill there was a misunderstanding with one of the scouts, a fellow by the name of Brian. Words were exchanged between Brian and Taric, unfortunately I couldn't stay to see the outcome, pressing business needed attending to. I have been exploring the landscape and I am impressed. After what I have heard about the Wars... the land seems to be healing back nicely... all except the Hallowlight Forest. I must ask someone what took place there. Cold from a long journey of delivering packages, I decided to warm myself at the Stormcrest Lodge. I must say that the humor of this land is far from gone. I laughed so hard I thought my sides would split. After a while, we retired to the outside and was regailed with a moving tail of unicorns and magic by Acacae Thistletongue. Yes, I love the outdoors. Going to curl up next to a fire and listen to the wildlife as I drift off to sleep. Tomorrow is a new adventure... A'arwynn 11

I play on Layonara because it's the closest thing to actually "being there". If you know what I mean...

I greatly appreciated that Taric.
(Now, if you could only learn my name ) I have played another session, and wow! What an experience. I want to thank Everyone for the best online session, yet. I hope it just gets better and better the more I get to know you guys. (Yes, Taric, thank you, too. You were a great help in Vehl.)Next time I get on, I'll head to the Stormcrest and hang out. What I would like to know is, how the heck do you guys type and walk at the same time? O.o I can barely stand and type... It's like talk.....run to catch up..... talk... run to catch up...Doh! But seriously, I had a blast the other day... Thanks again Kolskeggr 16

I'm in agreement with PnP. I think a tavern or Inn is a great gathering spot. A place to meet and greet new people. Heck, I'd even buy the house a drink...*rumages through pouch* Um...heh, Could someone spot me a few Trues?

Wow, thanks a lot you guys.
That is all very good advice. Next time I'm in the game, I'll give it a shot.I have also noticed the Wild Surge Inn, and will use that to "get the party started", so to speak. So, next time you see me, I hope to be less wall flower and more interactive. Thanks again, Kolskeggr 20
