Where would a dwarf character start at in Layonara?  Need to know for character approval application.  If one takes more than 5 levels in battle rager is there any benefit?

Hiyas,

I'm Alonzo, most everyone calls me Zo.  I hail from Oklahoma in the US.  I'm 33 and earn a living dealing Blackjack at a local Indian Casino.  I am searching for a new module to play since my beloved Anchordeep has been shutdown.  I played/dm'd there from its birth several years ago.  I first started playing D&D back in 7th grade.  Gah that seems like ages ago.....*long sigh* I generally focus on only one character at a time.  My most recent char I had on Anchordeep was a rowdy dwarven barbarian named Zolanthor.  Pure barbarian with no multiclassing.  Early on in his adventuring careerer he was polymorphed into a chicken by a druegar and without going into to many details ended up stuck like that for several days and hatched an egg.  Once he got the polymorph curse removed he saved his young chick from certain death by stew.  He called his young boy Dwarkin (dwarf & chicken).  It is Zolanthor's life long quest to find a way to make his boy Dwarkin a proper dwarf without all the feathers to say nothing about the worm eating.  I hope to revive Zolanthor and Dwarkin in Layonara and will submit him for approval today.  I hope to see you all ingame soon.

Is it possible to create a generic character and login to Layonara to get the overall feel of the module?  I'd like to see what I'm getting into and the atmosphere of the place.  I find myself looking for a new module since the one I've been playing for several years has shutdown.
