You could always apply for a dwarven (if you wish) cleric of Deliar! They collect wealth but are also charged with making sure trade is fair and people who are needy do not go without! Its probably done to death but I think its a loverly concept for a cleric in particular

As for crafting it says here in LORE that it shouldn't have to be a focus;
LORE: A Quick Guide to Crafting I might enjoy playing a character who has a well trodden path in front of him !! (Reference to the "done to death") In terms of the "focus on crafting" My experience (albeit small) has been everyone has been gathering, mining or otherwise engaged in some secondary or tertiary function. I am sure this adds great realism and depth to the depth of this marvelous world, I am just unable to devote any mind space for it currently ... Maybe I will play a wizard one day and "get with it" !! LOL !! Thank you for your help and comments, much appreciated.

I met the most generous wizard today, Stygian Achnuman (Sty).
He and I agreed to an interesting companionship ...
I would be his fast paced pack horse and he would help me learn the local areas and their dangers. He was most generous in letting me keep most of the loot I found on the bodies of our victims.
Whilst killing a small band of Orcs we met a wandering Minstrel named:
Flynn de Ballard whose soothing melodies reminded me of the inn of my youth.

QUERY::
I am currently playing Basher Troughart an Aragen Priest with "Fighter" leanings and training. It has been brought to my attention that this might not be the best fit for the current understanding of an Aragen priest.
My query is thus >>>
Would I be best suited with a Voraxian fighter priest for a replacement ??

Basher Troughart is with out a Holy Symbol of Aragen.
If I need to go somewhere to get one , buy one, whatever.
Basher will of course do what ever it takes to serve Aragen.
I am _NOT_ looking for a hand out, just some guidance please.

Where might I find the closest temple of Aragen?
Or do I need to find this for myself?

May I submit a character as a Cleric 5th Level, Monk 1st level and progress in ONLY the Monk Class. Basically Start as a Monk 1, with 5 levels of cleric and NEVER go back to Cleric? Or do I need to have a 1st level Cleric, play him till level 5 THEN CDQto request for 1st level Monk ?

Most people know me as simply hyme
It has been my great fortune to have found such a wonderful place as this.
I look forward to many late nights and long sessions in this immersive world.
I have played NWN and NWN2, Icewind Dale, and the Baldurs Gate series as
stand alone games. This is actually my first experience with playing this in
an MMO environment. I came from Second Life and other types of MMOs
with little or no expectations as to what find in Layonara.
I can honestly say I am not a WoW or other "Role Playing" type person until
this place snuck into my ... hmmm ... lives ??
I used to play DnD way back in the 70s, YES, I said 70s !!
I actually met Gary "Got it all" Gygax at a Con when it was NOT cool :^p
I only came back to CRPGs after the turn of the century when my interests turned from getting laid (being single) to keeping my mind occupied (being married). So there is an obviously large gap in my gaming resume.
In many many ways I am the newest of the n00bs (soory for the 1337)
And in others I am an old war hound with considerable skillz

[Disclaimer]
I am enjoying and truly beginning to appreciate the depth to Layonara.
I have now played a fair number hours as Sekko Nevada (Rogue)
and come to feel and understand much more about this world and
more importantly, how I wish to role play and the sorts of activities
I think I would enjoy participating in. I do not wish to put a lot more
time in with Sekko until I have had a chance to explore and understand
FAR more about this incredibly complex world ...
Lessons Learned::
I enjoy the role playing and the Quests and general combat
I have not enjoyed the looting and focus towards crafting, skinning, etc.
Silly Questions;
> May I play more then one character (obviously ONLY one at a time)
I acknowledge the rules about abuse and muling, etc.
> I was thinking of playing a simple dwarven cleric or fighter
Are there orders that frown on the collection of wealth?
I would prefer to be focused on combat and aiding my comrades
Is it possible to play a dwarf who has no interest in making things?
Would another race be better?
I noticed I get excited playing and make quite a few typos ...
My feelings are that my typos could be role played as the "accent"
of the dwarf and his general illiteracy.
