Kylore's Journal
« on: March 11, 2005, 07:38:00 AM »
The cover of this journal appears worn with time yet this entry is the first and none of the pages are torn out. The entries are written in a flowing script.

My memories are like whispers. They are there but just beyond my recollection. I touched the symbol around my neck. A golden Ankh.

Toran

I awoke.

As I looked around in the morning sun I found myself inside the walls of a village.   Nearby stood a shrine with a woman chanting softly.   I looked over at the woman and she smiled at me.  I approached the woman and suddenly I felt that something was wrong.

Ilsare is not an ally

Whispers

I turned from the woman as I saw a confused look cross her brow.

I circled around the shrine and saw a man at arms.  I asked where I was and he laughed and said something about another would be hero.   He introduced himself as Quartermaster Talon and said that I was in the town of Hlint.   He also bade that I return once I get my bearings because he had work for me.   I nodded somewhat confused.   I followed a sentry on into town.   I stopped at a well to drink.  The water was cool and refreshing.

When I looked up my gaze was drawn to a man in blue and silver platemail.  Emblazoned upon his shield was a golden Ankh.

Toran

I approached him and asked where I might find the Temple of Toran.   He directed me to Fort Llast along a road leading west out of Hlint.

I started down the road and each step I took seemed to pull me onward as my pace quickened.

May the Light of Toran guide my path.

Whispers

I entered the temple and felt a flood of energy fill my body.  I fell on my knees and thanked Toran for delivering me.   The divine light of Toran entered my body and filled my soul.

The priest and priestess came to me.  I stood and they saw the Symbol around my neck.  They asked who I was.

I am Kylore, Paladin of Toran.   I follow the seven virtues that lead to honor. Patience, Humility,  Kindness, Charity, Courage, Loyalty and above all Truth.
