Ironheart's Weathered Journal

I have written the letter to the High Council and have told them of my intent. I have no goodbyes to say. Yet I still feel as though I am not yet prepared to leave. Perhaps it was seeing Drezned the other day. It is almsot certan that the enemy now knows my mind.
No matter though, this must be done. The influence of the Dwarf Father wains. No longer does his name flow in battle cries from the lips of allies. And no longer is he feared among the enemy. It is time to show the enemy that the mighty Vorax did but slumber for a time, but that once awakened, his wrath knows no bounds and his fury is untameable. They will learn that the sound of his name reaching their ears is the sound of their own doom.
This Academy of War is long overdue. Though I must confess that though the Academy shall be self-sufficient, it will not be of the sort to also support the dwellings that shall no doubt sprout up in the security of its shadow. Perhaps it is time that I write the Baron as well and tell him of my plans. He has many skilled crafters that could help build the fortress itself, and has many connections that could perhaps help support the dwellings outside the Academy. Perhaps in this way a healing can begin between Vorax and Dorand. No family of dwarves should ever be divided. Perhaps the High Hammer helping show that Dorand does indeed support the role of Vorax in this war will be a catalyst to further the healing.
In the temple I was taught repeatedly that Dorandites could not be relied upon in times of the most fire need. However, the time has come that I must rely upon more than just myself, and Doprand and his followers are the perfect fit for furthering the future of this Academy. Whatever slight has caused such a rift, everyone deserves a second chance to prove themselves. And as Dorand influences many dwarves, it is time for the dwarven nation to become one again, healed and strong to stand firm against the enemy. Yes, I will indeed need to write yet one more letter. But I must leave for Xantril soon. I just hope that Blacklung can be found at the Citadel.
