Ooops! Sorry. That was me taking all your good rolls... Didn't mean any harm, I just didn't think you were using them.

In truth, "rolls" in any computer-based environment are not, and cannot be, completely random. There's this goofy convoluted algorithm which over time produces a sequence of numbers whose statistical distribution reflects a randomized sequence. However, given the same "seed", this sequence of numbers can, in fact, be repeated in all its pseudo-random glory.
Also, bear in mind that your character likely does not possess a dedicated random number generator of his own, but rather he's sharing that with all other characters who are rolling at the same time on the server. In other words, your random numbers are simply part of a larger group of random numbers, but you're only seeing a few of them.
Look on the bright side....maybe the universe is saving your good rolls for combat, DC checks and such.
