Partial Logs recovered from a badly damaged diary:
Tonight I raided the crypts with rugo falanger.
He was a good guy, I learned alot from him. Maybe some day I'll repay the debt.
After that I came down to the sewers in hunt of the "rat-man" Or something. He's stolen some tax reorts. There sure are alot of rats down here.....
I had to get out. There were just to many. I came back with the help of another... a wizard I belive. He only watched over me, and helped if it got to tough, but with his help I succeded. His name was Yardislan Echron.
As I walked down the street, I found a party on the verge of setting out to reunite Rugo with his body. I helped, and my debt is repayed.
I finaly found that cave in sialwood. I hunted around in there and found... that weird slimy thing she had mentined. I fought it for a while, but... I lost.
Then, with the help of two fellow adventurers, we went back in and visited my grave. I was finaly at full power again. Zerpa soulcry was one of them.
Urgh... I shouldn't have eaten that dire rat meant... I was sick for ages afterwards....
I've seen alot of the world lately, and there is so much more to see! I've journeyed to... some place beggining with L, past a castle. It was fairly dull, but it was a sight to see.
The people I journeyed with to my grave accompanyed me as I headed into the goblin mines. After a tremendous battle, we defeated the goblin cheifan.
*sigh* I just spent about 500 GP on the city watch of fort Last.
The postmaster has given me a few erands. The first wasn't so bad, I just had to take a letter to someone in hlint. I thought this would be easy. Then he sent me to some village on another continent!
I asked around for ways to get there, and a man named reli spoke up. He said he would show me to port hampshire, and from there I was on my own...
On the way we met Rugo and a few freinds. It apears wherever I go, Rugo is there.... odd, that.
After we reached Hampshire, Reli parted from us, and we continued by boat. It was fascinating, to be able to see nothing but water. I still have no idea how the ships don't get lost.....
When we arived in point harbour, I realised I had no idea where to go next. Luckily Rugo and Co were going my way. I saw some amazing things over there.
When we reached the village, I finaly deliverd my letter. I noticed a fair number of our company had a similar mission. Then we heard that the mans favorite cow had gone missing. Well, since we were in the area....
Before we went looking for the cow, one of Rugos friends showed us a peacefull place not far from there. It is, in truth, the most butiful thing I have ever seen. I hope some day I can return.
We began our hunt for the cow, but before we had gotten to far, we were ambushed by a giant monstrocity. A griffon the size of a house attacked us, and we were overwelmed.
Rugo and I fled, the other two hoping to distract it. I know when I'm not strong enough to fight. But it followed us... on swipe and I was down. I managed to recover, but when I woke up, Rugo and the griffon were gone.
After I reunited with the two whose names I can't remember, we set about looking for Rgo... We found his soulless body lying in the middle of the village. And the griffon, still very much alive, was there to. Things were taking a turn for the worse.
The Residents of the village took up arms against this intruder, but they were doing poorly. We rushed in, and finnished what we had started. After Rugo managed to return to his body, we searched its remains and came accross the cows remains. The farmer was not best pleased about that.
Our party split in Point harbour. The others headed to some place begining with B, but I knew I wouldn't be any help. I headed back to Hlint, and picked up my next letter. That one was in the next village over, so I had no problem.
Of course things are raely so simple. The next letters at Talos river, past point harbour. I'm not heading back in a hurry, tickets cost a fair bit.
After I got back to Hlint, I... wanderd for a time. I saw many things, and heard many tales. I have alot of work to do.
I 'm going back to hampshire. I saw someone asking for help, and I'm lending my hand. I didn't think it would be this soon for my return... We'll be stopping off in krandor. I have a task there.
The journy was hard, but I made it. Eventualy. Hampshire is a strange place, so full of wonders, and yet so empty. I don't want to linger here.
I traveled to Thalos river. The farmer asked me to take care of a few scarcrows after I gave him the letter. It was a mistake to try it alone. They overwelmed me, and I found myself in weakened form back in hampshire. I had to pay again to return to my body. I'm not going to sail that sea again unless I have a good reason.
Another griffon chased me on my way from hampshire. I reached the gate to fort hope just in time. I hope I will not be traveling that route again any time soon.
I jouneyed with Dryxalis mistdancer again today. We hunted for bat, badger, boar and deer skins for Johan, but we lost hope when we heard that next we needed couger skins. That man really knows how to push his luck.
I've journey accross the land, and seen many wonders. But one has really stuck in my mind. Some time ago, I came accross an abandoned castle. Curious, I explored it, but I found no sign of life. Then as I was about to leave, I saw something. a shining light, a portal. I had no idea where it led, but I instinctively followed it... and I found myself... somewhere.....
It was a place filled with many books, and I learned much there. I belive it was the great library I've heard of, but.... why was it there, and how could that portal be there?
I met a man named Rodlin Serim today. We hunted undead for a while, then he showed me his house, and told me about how he shared it with his party. He also mentioned I'd be wise to start jewel crafting or infusion... I'm going to follow his advice.
Rodlin and Kahna Krows fought undead with me in the broken forest. Afterwards, Rodlin had to go, but I journeyed with Kahna for a long time. It may have been weeks. I'm writing this in fort Welensk, where we have parted with heavy hearts. Unfortunatly, She had to get back to hlint, and I... I'm not going back for a while. It's been a long trip, and more than I've written down has occured, but it would take to long for me to tell you about it now. I've fought orcs, ogers, griffons, and more this past week or so. Who knows what I will do next....
Something odd happened. I was in haven's mine.. It's a long story, doubtless I'll say sooner or later. Anyway, I was surrounded by ogers. I was barely a meter from the exit, but I knew I'd
never make it. I felt a club strike me on the back of my skull, and I fell to the floor. As the darkness rushed in, I thought I saw something... a strange light, exploding all around me. I felt stronger, my wounds seemed to heal... but another club hit me and I was down for the count. When I woke up... I was alone. no more ogers, no unexpected hero's... nothing. Needless to say I got out of there quickly after that. But no doubt, it will be puzzling me for a long while...#
*The rest is a burned up husk. Just legible near the back are the words:
I dropped my bad in a campfire. Stupid. The bag was fine, but this diary fell out It's pretty much ruined now. I'll be writting elsewhere from now on...*
