    Sam I am
    « on: November 22, 2005, 08:02:00 AM »
The first few days of my new life bring great joy to my miserable exsistance.  I was able to gather enouph equipment to travle to Hlint and there, just outside town I ran into a Wizzard of great power.  It is with great interest I followed this wizzard and watched as he used a great Ball of fire to destroy many o goblins in the depths of the caves.  Thoes goblins are alot toupher than I had heard in the stories of traveling adventurers.  And to add to my amazment I observed an orcish fighter that went by the name of Rylok.  That name I shall not forget soon.  I personally saw with my own eyes, as he cut down a field of goblins and laughped the whole time. Impressive and frightening all at the same time.  It is in my haste and unwillingnes to trust these new adventurers that I have inadvertantly announced myself as Sam.  Why I do not know but I dont think this name will draw much attention as of yet.  I must remeber not give away any secrets to these strangers but I belive they are under the impression that I was a Druid or a man at arms.  This is good I can not let them know that I am what I am.  An actor of all proffessions and anyone I want to be.
Later I spoke with a Father of some elven god, a sect I can not remember right now, I must remember to write this stuff down.  He unknowingly gave me all the info I needed to be a Cleric, colors, theology, philosiphy, and in a gesture of kindness I even donated some of my coin.  It never hurts to have good friends. I must be carefull not to give away my identity though.  I was still known as Sam but I must think of a good cover for me as I act as a cleric.  Mabey Father Seth?  I figure soon I should have enouph coin to outfit myself to look like a cleric... unless I can convince a temple to equip me . .humm.
Hlint is a gathering place of all manners of adventurers and I even met a real live Palidan, Tristan.  Nice enouph fellow if not a bit foolhardy. This is one job that may be difficult to emulate.  I must have more observation about these Palidans before I can attempt that. But is was clear that bravery is essential.
Lastly I met with a Mr Norseman. Qurious fellow he was, but I do know of a mercanary company that follows him and I will keep my eyes open for this.  It wouldnt hurt to gain some hands on experience as a Man at arms and build a cover as a Mercinary.  Additionally they do have connetions that a Preist would never concider.
It is now the time I must concider setting up my cover, for I can not be Sam all the time lest someone may discover me. I will need to find a safe place to store my costumes and disguises.  Mabey in lelion, I do know that city well. And then what are my personalities? This is something to ponder.  I do belive I am commited to Sam for at least one but an actor such as myself will have many.

It is through sucessfull interation I discovered the location of a good hunting spot for Boar.  It was through my dismay that this area is rought with danger.  Skillfully I was able to slip past a clan of vile goblinoid critters call Kobolds.  Ugly, foul, and wicked they are. I must remember to mention this to the next group that remidies these type of matters. They are lead by a large mean looking vermin and to tangle with this group would be foolish alone.  While scouting I have happend upon a cave guarded by A spider man and a floating eyeball. I was able to slay the spider man but there is something unatural about the eye and was not willing to engage this creature.  I could not be certian of the outcome.  Pushing further south it was refreashing to find a haven from evil creatures.  The Rangers Vale was a well needed rest and the tennants are kind to passerbys.  Pushing further south is where the real fight lies though.  There are birds of strange magical abilities and I watched as they turned a hapless adventurer into stone.  If only for a short time it is long enouph for them to peck off your limbs.  Followed by Ogres and in special note a blue magic weilding one that made himself invisible.  Hon cab one fight what he can not see.  I was still able to slipp past these Ogres and will make special note about there location as to not happen upon them again.
I then started seeing the tracks I was searching for. . Boar.  It will be bacon for dinner.  I was able to slay the Boar skillfully yet they are resiliant to my weapons and it was not without a fight. I collected my skin and headed Back to Hlint. It was by chance I spied another clan of wolve riding critters but I was once again outnumbered and not willing to draw attention to myself so I quickly withdrew and made my way back to Hlint.  A boar hunt is laiden with danger and must be sure to let fellow hunter know that this is not for the fiant at heart.
My skills as a hunter are soon to be well known and the next trophy of a Deer was easily attained.  I did happen upon a lone elf who shot at me with a poisoned arrow. I know this because it hit me.  Note to self, lone evil elves are not very nice. After a little repair work and bandages I was ably to contain the spread and find that trophy buck.  He fell quickly and and I collected his hide as requested of me.  I figured it was still early so I would look around a little more and spied a group of Lizzrd men in the swamps further east of Lake Avalon.  These surrounding areas are truly treacherous.  It was time to retur back to Hlint and collect my reward.  Only to be rewarded with the request for a cougar hide.
Now where will I fine one of thoes? ? ? ?

Cougar seem to be difficult to find but I was able to convince a passerby to sell me one at a very reasonable rate.  The tanners motives are now in question as he now is looking for a bear hide.  A nice nature loving lady has informed me that he is illegally trading these furs, I would like not to belive that.  So in veiw of this latest information I have delayed the hunt for Bear till I can figure out if there is any truth to the matter of accusations.  It is no matter there seems to be alot to do around Hlint.  A cute little singer at the Inn has asked me to find a necklace she has lost in the red caves for her, I wonder if she will make it worth my while? Additionally I found an armorsmith that was willing to sell me a fine chain shirt well below retail in the area, although I am unable to corectly use this armor I will store it in the bank for future use.
It was just recently I traveld to the Grey Peaks and fond some interesting creatures there. I saw my first real Giant.  That fellow was huge, almost as wide as the Reaver but far taller.  It was throwing boulders too, real boulders.  It must certianly be strong to be able to do that.  He surrounded himself with ogres and they are not weak either.  The Grey Peaks are a dangerous place and I shall take caution while traveling that direction for sure.
I was also able to scout a little further to the east and found a gloomy swamp.  It is infested with lizzard like men and they are a fierce fighters and I even saw a troll further into the swamp but I was unable to get far enouph ahain to see the true porpouse of this troll.  The mud and water has a tendancey to slow me down and it is very difficult to remain quiet slopping around in all that gloop. I will have to return to see what evil lurks in that dismal place some day. But untill then I have some coin to spend and ale to drink, best be seting off to do just that.

It is with great hesitation I travled back into the High Moors in search of the trolls that lurk there.  What I did discover is that she, a troll witch was not evil or vile but a rather reclusive hermit. . ess. She did ask if I would be wiling to do a favor and willingly I acepted.  It was her ferociousness that saved me from a mosquito swarm after all. Plus she paid well wich does not hurt. I do warn travelers that the lizzard folk who dwell in these moors have very good eyes and can see even the best hidden scouts. The bonus is even though they can see far they are not the best at archery and they will fall easily if you are skilled in bow.
As luck would have it be it Myst watches over me in route to Lileon I happened uppon a package I had been in search of. Lying there disarded on the side of the road was A bear hide. It must have been left behind by s tired traveler but I was willing to clean the roadside and by chance that is what the Tanner needed.  But it is with some discust that he now needs another bear hide and I will have to search once again for a hunting sopt for these bear. But I did happen to come across a whit stag. A beutifull creature and so proud they are.  I must ask what porpose lie within its skins and will look into this further. I also found alond the way a small ring set with topaz that will aid me in my tasks.  Very nice to have and must be sure to guard it well for it holds within its glimmer, magic.
I have taken to collecting information from the town of Hlint, it is amazing what is said in casual conversation, the stories and events that occur all in the open have a cause and effect that few may know of.  My lead into the Bear lies with a warrior named Anna or mabey Miss Talon, I belive in an observed conversation one of the two was mauled by a bear, although it was difficult to determine wich one said that because I was far away.  I will make note none the less and seek them for the source of the bear.
It is also an additional task to travel back to the Grey peaks in search of oil lost by the horse lady of Ft Vlansk. This I know will not be easy, I have seen the inhabitants of the peaks and will not concider a trip there lightly.

            // OOC

In the attepts to establish a "spy" I have run out of ideas of how to etsablish this proffesion.  Yes I understand that it is a very limited job and my progress has been slow. I have solicited others in game and through the forum about this Idea and there is interest, mostly rouges.  The concern is if there is no opportunity for someone to gather information the RP value of the skill is for naught.  Where might I go to find work?  I have seen many events that could use the investigation and it could lead to a CDQ (ie. the dock shopkeeper being abducted, the black box dissapearance, or the theft at Club Llast) Please if there are any sugestions as to how I can make this work feel free to coment.

It is as of now I will disavow to ever craft anything ever again! Crafting is not for the likes of me, I have not the patience nor the aptitue to make even the simplest tools or items and do so vow to never attept this "crafting" thing ever again.  Let thoes tradesmen do thier work and I will support them.  I now understand why the coin requested for goods is set at the level it is. I will stick to what I am good at and continue to collect the knowledge of Mistone. Knowledge is power and I will rule!!!
