    A soft bound journal
    « on: November 29, 2005, 07:33:00 AM »
-The finely bound journal is blow open by a soft wind. The entires are not dated but the spacing seems to imply the passage of time.-

-When I arrived in Hlint I have to admit I was very... Uninspired. To it's defense this was an early morning arrival and moonlight is unforgiving to hamlets such as this. Perhaps this is my bias for large cities that guide my pen so unflatteringly. Perhaps my continued stay here will warm me to her when the sun rises... First order of buisness: find the tavern.

-I didn't have enough for a room it seems... Well not a free room, which is what I sought truth be told. Instead of performing I spent the better part of the night chatting with the locals and enjoying the last of my tabacco. A contraption provided most of the entertainment! While my talents do not lie strongly in song and dance I find that this foul creation bothered me on a fundamental level. Like a blessing in a bottle a cleric once told me. Very fitting.

-I decided that taking a rest outside was my only option. Resting against a tree outside of the local bank (Note to self: Make that deposit in the morn) I was roused by a heated conversation along the road. Forced relations? The falling out of friends? A misunderstanding? Oh damn my ears for taking in all this with such zeal. What can they expect of a storyteller... If all conversations of this delightful consistancy take place in the open air for all the gods eyes who am I to be judged? Just as things were wrapping up I was approached by a fellow bard by the name of Ilion. Surprisingly he greeted me in passing elven and I rewarded him as best I could with my company. He seems very good at his trade if not too.. whats the word, "pious" for my taste. We traveled togther for a time and he showed me the ropes give or take of the small village. Surprisingly this place has many whispers and creaks! I'm soaking it all in like a loofa without seeming too eager. Small steps Julion, small small steps.

-At the end of the second day afew other interestind events too place. We were to head out of town to the goblin caves and met with another group. Again another heated conversation took place as a paladin of seemingly high standard with some court came to take one of our new friends end for judgement! I was surprised by how easily the man was talked out of his quary... But even more surprised by his quick recovery of what could have been a nasty situation. Ofcourse he was polite and addressed us in turn. I'll have to keep his troubles in mind and learn as much as I can of it... Just for my own intrest. Ah an there is also the woman who desired to learn the elven tounge. I ofcourse jested with her in this regard my other elven companions being rather crude in speaking it and not explaining what was said (tho most of it again crude) I however did the best I could to help her. Honest as rain. However I did notice something peculiar. As adoring and friendly as she was her persona was rather... Well I surely cannot think of the word at the momment. Perhaps further study of her god that she mentioned will enlighten me. The whip however was a nice touch and I will have to consider her character in any stories I decide to pen at a later date...
