*Kaeyan waves farewell to Zack, his most recent and only friend since coming to Hlint, and pulls up a chair. He motions for the barmaid to come over* "May I have some of Green Rangers Draft?" he asks. "Surely sir, be just a moment" the lady quickly replies, then she turns to head to the bar. She comes back and sits the ale on the table he nods and produces some gold coion and offers it to her. " Please keep the rest for yourself, It wil be our little secret." he says with a slight smile on his face. She nods and turns to help the other patrons. *He takes off his pack and pulls out a leather bound book and opens it to the first page.*
I am finally here. It has been a long journey from Pranzis to here. I thought I would lose my neck near some town, I think was called Himlad, stupid fat griffons. But, other then being chased for 5 miles the trip was quite enjoyable, long!, but quite enjoyable. * he take s a sip of his ale.*
Been in Hlint now for two days and haven't seen many adventurer types but I did meet some people in need of my service. All were glad for the services that we performed, Zack and me that is. I guess I should mention him since he is the one that got me started on my training.
What can I say about Zack? He is the first real wizard or mage, (whatever they are called here) that I have gotten to know. We talk littled about his studies but when he pulled out this sword that was twice my size, that is when it conversation started. He told me he has been always fasinated with blades because ( and he is right) they look "cool". I asked him to show me some of his thrust and parrys with the blade and honeslty I didn't see too many flaws, but flaws none the less. I quickly corrected his posture and hold on the blade and pointed out certain signs to look for when in melee with another warrior, tell-tale signs you could say, of what the warrior was about to do.
We must of carried on for hours but it was a good lesson for us both, for him, it was to better himself as a fighter and for me to refresh my memory of beginner tactics. For that is the reason I am here... to relearn what I was taught and surpass that, to be one with my weapon so that it is an extension of my hand. I have to.. no, I will become a great weapon master and revenge my fathers death and fight all that would harm the the weak. That is my quest, my hunt, my destiny.

I feel my prowess growing with my axe, my strikes are becoming more true. My training is rigorous  and grueling but I am focused on my goal. Perfection. I know it is a hard thing to accomplish but I shall not fall in battle to enemies that are inferior to me. I will not accecpt the same fate as my father, I just can't. I want to live and be strong. To live the heros life. Fame, fortune, and a reputation that one of my skill and dedication has earned.
So now I continue my training fighting the monsters around town to improve my technique. Soon I will be ready to move away from this area and seek out grander adventures and harder challenges to add upon my skill.
