Craftable spellcomponent: Piece of Spongue

Almostevery spellcomponent is craftable. In fact Pieces of Spongue may be the only one not being craftable (no, the saint's blood is not, for obvious reasons ).
  Could it be added to the crafting system? Or could they be placed in sea areas, marshes or swamps?

None of these are craftable or gatherable either (except maybe the snakeskin leather gloves, not sure about those)

Err... so how do people get them?  Just purchase?  And BTW...we want them to be purchase, maybe not ONLY but we do want that the to be nearly the only way (not craftable--that was abused and thusly removed).

I thought glowworms were found in an "Infested Tree"
  The holy text is scribeable on the scribing stations, I believe..not 100% sure.
  "A few drops of water" is obtained from a Bottle of water....while not craftable or gatherable, it's a product of using another item that is purchased.
  The rest are typically found as drops or purchased from the vendors.

The primary reason for asking regarding the Piece of Spongue is that it costs more than 400 gold for one piece. That is a bit much for one component... and it being a piece of spongue does not justify the price, really.

Is it quite SO expensive though, because of the spell its used it?

And I was going to throw my 4 or 5 pieces away... (only reason I'm not doing that is that they are weightless )

Well, forcing people to buy these things are actually excellent for the economy...
