question about clean-up
« on: October 30, 2006, 08:41:31 AM »
On the way down to Port Hampshire last night to retrieve something very important I'd left on a bench in a craft area. I was killed and sadly I was bound on central. Would porting from West to Central erase what I forgot on the bench? Would there be some sort of clean-up script that does it? Or, hopefully, would I be able to get these back from whatever honest, law abiding, good samaritan character who picked them up? I left them there at 10pm pst and didn't get back to have a look until 8am pst. According to LORE there was no server reset during this time.

Porting from West to Central would not erase the things on the bench. The clean-up script shouldn't erase the things in the craft-containers. I can only think of the follow things happening:

1. A player found the things and took them.
2. A player found the things and put them in a trashcan.
3. A DM found the things and put them in a trashcan.

Putting them in a crafting container is a "on your own risk" thing. It's strongly recommended not to use them as temporary storage containers. :)

Yep, mine. Thanks, Pen. I didn't mean to leave the stuff. Just kinda forgot to take the stuff off the bench after the item was made. I keep all my gem dusts in a box and put the box on the bench...
