Druid info?
« on: October 19, 2006, 11:19:45 AM »
Being the curious sort, I'm looking up the information on druids, and note that the druid hierarchy has a druid in charge of each of the major geographical areas, such as the Great Forest, the Seilwood Forest, etc.

But is there any information known about the current NPCs in those roles?  Who are they?  How long have they been there?  What is their particular take on being a guardian of nature?

The druid heirarchy is rather loosely defined at the moment. The Hierophant is actually a PC (Rhizome) right now, and there is at least one High Druid (Brisbane).

Thanks for the info... or least, letting me know there isn't much info  :)

I was drafting up a character submission (yes, I'm actually thinking of trying a druid) and wanted to know if there was any established cannon I could use in the charatcer bio, so that I wouldn't conflict with "known" information.

There's Legodia who is the high druid of mistone (she took over the position after Rhizome left it for greater things.)

Raven.. I'm not sure if she's officially anything but I think she may be the druid of rilara or at least the wolfswoods.

There is a high druid of Belinara (Xantril at the time I met her) who is female... I think I remember L playing her once but I dont remember a name or anything more specific.

If any of this, albeit meager, information is not something that should be posted on the forums please edit this post accordingly and make note of it.

Be sure to read the Druid section in the handbook and on the forums too.

from what i gathered the chain goes like this
Rhizome is heirophant of all
Brisbane is high druid of roldem
Legodia is high druid of mistone
Raven is druid of the wolfwood
Luna is the outlaw with the Vahlkir(sp?)
several other druids under Luna
then there are seven druids who roam mistone

I have -- I've been around here long enough to know to do a little research before going too far with a character concept.  :)

My questions were less about the general organization of the druids as to any specific NPC that are "known" to exist, so that if I were to write up a background, I wouldn't say things that conflicted with "known" facts.  Specifically, I am interested in knowing if there are any established details as to the identities or specific philosphie sof the druids of the Great Forest and the Seilwood Forest.

As for actually submitting the character, well, that's going to have to wait until some of the subrace restrictions are lifted (the concept calls for a half-orc) and at least in the initial drafts, the alignment is CN, so I need a level 10 character to qualify there as well.  (It is CN leaning TN, so if I had to re-write is as TN, I probably could... but it would require some personalities quirks to be modified.)

Just looking ahead, that's all.

Half-orcs were just recently re-opened I think! ;)
