Monster appreciation day
« on: June 21, 2007, 12:21:36 AM »
I had an idea for a fun activity.  I call it monster appreciation day.  What I was thinking of was a role reversal where the players had to have rules like the monsters and the monsters would have rules like players.  Say a group of players had to stay in one area for the entire event.  The GMs control the monsters and run through getting XP (i.e. killing the players or at least trying to)  The players would be confined to an area and not allowed to engage the monsters unless they engaged first.  Players could only have two or three buffs before the monsters engaged and the mosters would get a chance to fully buff while the players watched.  This event could happen for 2 or 3 hours and the GMs could probably kill the players 50 times in that period.  The GM or group of GMs that got the most XP would be declared the winner.  You could publish a list of players and XP values in advance.  So some GMs would go after Ketilborn, or Ozy for the uber XP but there would only be a couple of these in high level areas or you could go kill the masses of low levels right near town.:)

hehe, it is a fun idea but I guess it does not fit the In game spirit.

But if it happens, I am not it!!!

Oh and the monsters would get critical hits and the players wouldn't.

Heres the question and the real crux of it.   Would death tokens be distributed to the monsters and the players free of that pain.  :P

THEN it would be a role reversal.   Cause we all know those  orcs seem to have an endless supply.   :P

Oh yes soul strands would have to be turned off.  The monsters would be able to get SSs removed maybe 2 for this short period so the palyers would have a chance to perm out their "favorite" GMs.  :)
