Can't delete one's own thread?

I wanted to delete one of my posts in my 'Trade and Market' thread... as I always had.

I make a new post when I add something on the list and delete the previous....  so I keep the thread clear with just the 'Item's/Price list' post and the 'What's new' post.

But I didn't seem to find the way to... even if the 'edit' button says "edit/delete" I don't see the option to delete a post? Is that a bug or is there a reason to it?

Besides there is all those post - well not really post- that says that a post as been deleted... why's that? Is there a way to have this not show up in one's thread?

I disabled deleting of ones own posts after the fiasco last weekend. I will consider turning it back on now that we have it showing who deleted what. Right now it will remain disabled as I still need to consider a few things.
