Sunlight Sling

Hedessa Tanario has a Sunlight sling with 50 charges on it, yet no way to use those charges.  I have tried oxing it, but that did not help, leaving it the same as before stuffing it in the ox pack.

Any suggestions on how to fix this are appreciated.

No sling, no problem ;)

Try once more oxing it - but rest and relog before you remove it from the ox pack.  

Maybe ask a gm to remove it and recreate it?

Actually the "ox" may remove all charges from charged items.  I think it says so when you take the pack off the ox.

I'm moving this to Bug Reports so that I can check to see if it's messed up in the drop list.

Have you tried just using the sling with a plain sling bullet?

Yep, tried using many different varieties of bullets and all had the same effect.  The bonuses from the sling applied, but still no way that I could find to use the charges.

And fortunately after I oxed it the first time, the charges remained.  But, I'll heed your warning Dorg and not do that again.:)

It's possible that hte charges were added to increase the level requirement of the item.

OK, this is a Bioware item bug.  The properties of the item are as follows:

Attack Bonus +2
Attack Bonus vs. Racial Group: Undead +3
Light Low (10m) White


While it does have 50 charges, there's no powers associated with those charges.

So while it's kind of funny, it's one of Bioware's default items and short of re-making it to remove the harmless charges, there's not really anything to do here.  There's no powers that are missing or anything.

So it's a bug, but not ours, and there's nothing for us to put in place to use those charges, so I'm going to go with:  It's working as intended.

Thanks for looking into this, must be her nearly constant state of inebriation that she thinks there's more to the sling than really exists.  :D
