There is a lot of chattering gong on there like if you were in a city. it kinda ruins the mood, even more so if you're trying to do a small thing by the water falls.

Yeah sorry I wrote it as a stub with the intention of coming back to edit it but I got side tracked.
Description:
There is a lot of chattering going on there, like if you were in a city. It kinda ruins the mood, even more so if you're trying to do a small thing by the water falls.

I'm not really able to look at the moment, but my guess would be that the "chattering" in the area is meant to give the impression of something we can't efficiently represent in-game, that being that the main entrance to Blackford Castle would be a hub of activity, with many people coming and going, and even more perched outside selling their wares and even more still loitering to watch the "who's who" of those coming in and out of the castle.
So I'm not entirely sure this is a "bug", nor was the area particularly built for the kind of mood you're talking about. Upon verification, I may move this to Suggestions instead.

First I want to say that I am not trying to criticize the work of anyone, just my opinion on the map.
You could localize the sound to a spot only like at the entrance of the castle. I built a lot of areas and had a lot of fun with dressing it up with sounds (what can I say I'm a sound engineer lol). Those kind of things are best, in my opinion, to be localized instead of area wide. Basically its using the third dial option in the positioning tab (which I'm pretty sure you guys already know) called play from a specific position, then you can adjust the radius to which it will be heard.
That would bring in the effect desired as closer you get to the castle, the more you hear the chattering, but you wouldn't hear it from 1 km away for example.
it would give a much better feel. You could also localize pockets of sounds on the road it self with a small radius of 3 to 5 meters. This way when someone is on the road they would hear it, but if they move away from the road they wont.

Yes, I know all this, and I'm not taking it personally, since I didn't build the area.
Point is though, this is more a "suggestion" than a "bug" and I was only trying to let you know the (probable) design intent behind the area.
Anyway, moving this thread.

Hello there Hellblazer,
I know that it's sometimes hard to tell what is meant to be due to areas being made to represent various sizes of things, but in this case, Blackford City does actually include the waterfall. There are several magnificent, naturally occurring beauties in the city proper and the area around it, which is part of the reason the place was chosen as a site, decades back. The castle itself is just the castle and surrounding it is the city that supports it.
Hope that clears things up some. The LORE team and writers team are working feverishly to get these little details out there as we can.
