Far from my home and amongst strangers has caused me to lose sight of my purpose. I have fallen into the ways of this land and am ashamed of my actions. I feel the need to return to the forests and I am spending more and more time on my own exploring the forests, mountains, and plains around Hlint. There is something missing I came here to hone my skills in order to better serve my purpose of protecting the forests, and yes to some extent that has been progressing but still I have a nagging feeling that I am needed elsewere. Others too feel this I have heard them say so. What is coming and will I be ready?

Still this feelling is with me, there is a storm coming to this land. The forces of evil have gathered all around this place and no matter how many times we fight them back they return just as strong. At some time they will pour forth into these small towns and we will be overrun. The orcs, goblins, kolbolts, lizard men, ogres, and the foul beasts that dwell in that cave outside Haven (what are they?) is they were to join forces even loosely they would threaten even the larger cites. What can I one Elf do to prevent this?

I felt that something was coming and now it is here. I stand ready. We must now elect a group of leaders, there are so few to choose from. Those amongst us of experience seem to fight amongst themselfs to often. But if we do not choose them for our leadership will they listen to any who are less powerfull? These will be dark times. I will prepare and be ready to do my part if it is lead or follow I will do my best and keep an eye on the balence of power.

I am worried about the way we chose the ones who will end up leading us. I hope that my worries are not warranted. We need leaders that are strong, smart, compassionate, and able to make tough decisions. There were some that I can see show those qualities, I am sure they will rise to the top. As always I will stay ready to serve and defend. I hope they will be here for us and gives us the guidance that we need. I will check the courthouse every day to see what I can do.
