I was wondering...as I think it would suit my character Nyyana who gets really ill in the rain REAL easy if umbrella's were available in game? I've looked about but haven't found any. Are Umbrella's available in Layonara?

I've seen people with umbrellas, but how limited or available they are, I don't know

hmm I wonder if umbrella's are like erm... like wizard books and holy flags. Kinda rp items that you have to ask a DM for ingame... is this the case?

no .. i am certain i have seen them available, just cant remember where ,,, could they be a customizable option?

Contact your friendly neighborhood crafting bard for the raw materials for the Layonara only musical umbrella.  A bit on the heavy side  but will keep you dry and musically amused.  (Hickory Chimes customized at the weapons station to any of the fashion acessories)  Barring that A GM can provide one IG for a small fee I believe.

wait, so its chimes customized? Can any one equip musical instuments? I always thought only bards could equip them....

The chimes aren't actually musical instruments, they're "fashion accessories". So anyone can equip them, bard or otherwise. I don't think there's an item type "musical instrument", but I could be wrong. What you really want to do is craft a fashion accessory, then customize it into an umbrella. However, the simple instruments are the only fashion accessories that I've ever seen anyone able to craft. Are there others? And the instruments can only be crafted by bards.

So through an odd chain of logic, only bards can make umbrellas. Which actually makes sense, considering a bard's fine fashion sense to begin with.
