I'm Freldo, a bard from far away,
There's something I'd like to say.
Your attention, I beg,
Take the load of your leg,
A moment of your time I pray.
Talkative, as I'm afraid to be mute,
Of my thanks I'd like to toot.
I'm no good in rhyme,
So please give me some time,
I'm much better playing the harp.
I thank the kind ones from afar,
Who's patience I have tried not to mar.
I arrived in Hlint,
Without any hint,
Thanks, for helping me come this far.
Politeness, I must confess,
I tend to have in excess,
However, I've known
The help to me shown
Deserves even more, Gods bless.
Too much of your time I have taken,
I hope, amoung you, I have not been forsaken,
I must be on my way,
But I'm going to stay,
For there is one rhyme left for me to be makin'.
Kind thanks to the inn's crew here,
That work hard year after year,
Providing the service,
Smiling to serve us,
But I'm still waiting for my beer!
