Planning a wedding
« on: May 31, 2006, 05:27:22 PM »
Hello,

I am planning a wedding soon.  Is there any requirements that I should be aware of as far as the world is concered?  We will probabbly like to set out some chests with food and drink, some potted flowers, and maybe some benches and such for the quests.  Can I use normal home furnishings for this or would I need to to something else. Oh and the wedding will most likely be outside...  I don't want to lag up the server with a bunch of stuff outside that shouldn't be there...  Any and all sugestions would be most apreciated. I am sure I will have more questions soon...

Thank you all!

Well, you physically can't place items outside. The tags for PC placeables will only work in areas that are tagged for them (I may have butchered the lingo, but I got the point across I think). Basically you have to get a GM to set it up for you. Other than that, you're gold... though you may want to have it in a peaceful place. (Ie: Someplace where there isn't TONS of PC traffic.)

You might inquire at the Freelancer Tavern in Point Harbor.  They have large amounts of space and the tavern itself could be decorated with housing placeables by yourself and the wedding planners w/o GM assistance.

The Freelancers do some pretty good catering.  Pig's ale and xeenie wine will have the the groom seeing double, and the wife wind up with the best man. :P
