Real life yesterday was extremely hectic. When the time arrived for our excursion to Firesteep I was fatigued and very distracted. I would not have played well as Ael either in roleplay or in group tactics. I sent a brief tell to the group leader about the situation. Then I switched over to Krys just to do some gathering and other mundane stuff not requiring any focus, as I was still dealing with occasional things requiring me to go afk (which would have also detracted from a Firesteep run).
So I'm just writing this to say "I'm sorry" to the folks who were looking forward to Ael's accompanying them.
I'll try to make it up to you guys.
