What is a Divine Champion

One of my PCs leveled recently and I thought I saw a PrC that was called a Divine Champion.  What is that?  I mean i have NWN2 but as far as NWN1 goes and Layo, what is a Divine Champion.  There is nothing on the site about them that i could find.  Thanks

A divine champion of a god is a holy warrior in service of this said deity. Only a few gods on Layonara have divine champions though... mostly the martial ones that you'd expect to have some kind of knights or whatever you want to call them.

They're kind of between fighters and paladins in service of the god. More divine than the fighters with some cool divine powers but not as much holy warriors as the paladins are.

Yeah... that's pretty much the simple explanation.

So the original Champion of Torn is a Divine Champion in NWN?  Hm....  Always saw them a bit differently
