What if a character comes from a place that is no more or a location X is prominent in a development thread but is no more or renamed?
Any ideas on how to work the change into current rp?
will 'Port Hampstead' always have been 'Port Hampstead'?
With old quests passing away and new ones put in place, will quests that a character has but not completed be stripped out if they no longer exist? I have a few quests that I have gotten but not completed and was wondering if they will be removed or will remain forever incomplete.
Niles09 - 2/23/2007 7:32 AM As far as I've understood, the places renamed arent RP'ed as if they always have had that name, but they where renamed doing the war. My character fx, will probaly still be calling the places their old name for some time. If your character comes from Rilara you could say something like, "I come from Alindor, the place that used to be named Rilara."
EdTheKet - 2/23/2007 6:06 AM Good questions. QuoteAs mentioned, renamed places will be considered as always having had that name, so Port Hempstead will have never been Port Hampshire.

Niles09 - 2/23/2007 9:42 AM right.... then I would like to know why exactly you're changing the names of places, as if they always had that name.
Faldred - 2/23/2007 3:00 PMI know the team is very, very busy... but will there be a list available at some point detailing the name changes (and a list of places that have gone away for whatever reason - preferably with a reason attached if not the generic "abandoned due to dying population")?This type of info would be very useful for RP and character submission bio purposes.
Faldred - 2/24/2007 6:56 AMAhhh... excellent work so far by Stephen!!!On the whole, I understand the whole "the new name is the way it's always been" policy. I do have one specific special case to ask about, though: Prantz/Pranzis. I've been playing Zug as refusing to use Broegar's name for the city -- is that actually correct, or has it "always been" Prantz?
