More rumors spread through the lands, especially through the magical communities. It seems that Connor was summoned to Spellgard, but what was initially thought of by some as a hearing was actually a celebration! Apparently, the sorcerer played a crucial role in stopping the blast that rocked through the desert near Argas from becoming a much larger magical disaster.
The man dead in the blast was Gilderoy Griffin, noted and prolific Spellgard author, who saved Connor's life and is also being praised for his heroism, albeit posthumously. Connor Garvill has also been praised by many for his efforts in averting a magical crisis near Argas, and has been accepted into the Reaching by Demisa Shimrasti.
