Not sure if this is a bug or not but with a group we entered the crypts the other night. We got the key required to enter the door after the bridge which gives you access to the Vampire Keyholder room. Unfortunately the person with the key was killed and when the party fled they could not exit from the area without the key. Hence you can use your imagination to work out what happened after we got to the door and found we could not get out...

Is this deliberate? or should you require a key to enter but not to leave?

i think its meant to be in there
 just like the door in storan's crypt >.<

You can't lock doors on certain sides. But perhaps the door should only be one time lock, to avoid such things as you describe.

We can change the door to one of the new type that will relock after a period of time, which should allow for an escape.

On second thoughts, this is already the case with Storans. If a person dies with the key, there is no way out. This have never been changed, and as such there should be no need to change this door. Protect the key is the "key" here. No pun intended. :D

I think, perhaps, changing BOTH doors (and any others like them) to the relock-after-a-period-of-time type would be a very good idea. :)

Very good idea! Hawk got locked in there, had his sleep interrupted, so he was happy with the guy who had the key, took off. ;)
