A'arwynn Silverbow : Journey Through a Wonderous Land

Prologue

I haven't been very open with my true feelings.  I feel a deep burning hatred for those wretched "unnatural" things!  They claw their way from the earth and shamble about, seeking nurishment from the living.  This cannot continue!  *Drops to the ground and sobs*  They killed my sister!  Where do they come from.... Why do they come?  If only I could have saved her... but I am yet not strong enough.  I learned what I could from Va'ladyn, my cousin, but I now must journey to new lands to learn more.  Then, when I am strong enough, I will avenge Lathana... *pounds ground with fists* she was so young and innocent!  If I find out those "things" were being controlled by someone, I will show them no end of pain... *he rises from the ground, gathers his gear and begins walking south, towards Port Hempstead...*

New Beginnings

I have made it to Port Hempstead.  The human city is quite grand.  Not as beautiful as the Silverbow treehouse in the forest of Silkwood... Ah, but I must forget about that for a while.  My home is here, now.

I have met a new friend today. He is called Taric.  He gave me a tour of the city and the sewers... not the most pleasant of locations...

I still feel out of place here, posted a note in the local tavern, looking for companions.

Today my note was answered.  She is a pretty human female that is heavy with child.  She told me her name was Kinsai.  She and a group of her friends, helped me to defeat a band of kobolds that have been causing trouble outside of town.  I can't thank her enough for her assistance.

I have traveled to Fort Vehl with a group.  They claim there are riches to be had in the local cemetary.  Hmmmm.  We traveled into the tomb, and what did I behold?  Those damnedable creatures that destroy my calm, my most hated of foes!  If only these could be the ones that killed my sister, my vengance would be done.  But, alas, I fear they are not.  These restless undead are controlled only by their need for flesh.  The group quickly swept through these unliving creatures and ended the unlife of a mummy that is quite contented to continue to return night after night.  I will have to return here and end this for good one day!

Through my journeys I have met many new faces; Luna, a free spirited mage, who wields her power with a child-like charm...*sighs*.  Hotaru, an annoying little halfling who seems to travel a path similar to mine.  Ah.. he does seem to grow on me though... He has saved my hide more than once, though, I would never let him know that... Besides, he has enough trouble being married to a demented young lass named Cat...

Ah my ink is running dry.  I will write again later.  My new friend, Taric, is planning an expedition of the area around town.  I will write again when I return from this.

The Journey Continues

I do so enjoy the cities, but I have started to feel more and more comfortable outside.  I have been making camp in the local woods instead of sleeping at the inns.  This feels right to me.  I usually spend the mornings fishing and foraging.  The fishing relaxes me after a day of exploits.

Speaking of exploits, the mission with Taric went well, that is, untill there was a misunderstanding with one of the scouts, a fellow by the name of Brian.  Words were exchanged between Brian and Taric, unfortunately I couldn't stay to see the outcome, pressing business needed attending to.

I have been exploring the landscape and I am impressed.  After what I have heard about the Wars...  the land seems to be healing back nicely... all except the Hallowlight Forest.  I must ask someone what took place there.

Cold from a long journey of delivering packages, I decided to warm myself at the Stormcrest Lodge.  I must say that the humor of this land is far from gone.  I laughed so hard I thought my sides would split.  After a while, we retired to the outside and was regailed with a moving tail of unicorns and magic by Acacae Thistletongue.

Yes, I love the outdoors.  Going to curl up next to a fire and listen to the wildlife as I drift off to sleep.  Tomorrow is a new adventure...
