*Word spreads through Hempstead*

Word has Spread through Hempstead and the surrounding farmland of gathering of adventurers making elaborate plans.  No one knows for sure what they are planning, but what is know is that it pertains to the strange disappearances in the area, as well as the talks of demons and Dream Granters.  If it is for good or for ill is uncertain, the few merchants that passed that way are certain they saw the famed Illusionist Rhynnala Asantiani among those conspiring, giving way to mixed reactions where some believe the worst is near, while others believe they may be saved, while most just think the simple involvement of the Illusionist warrants concern on both sides.

Another report does claim that the man that has seemingly been at the heart of solving the local troubles, the Scarlet and Gold Warrior who calls himself Shiff, was seen donning a rather fetching suit of silver mail while explaining some sort of plan to those who were gathered about a camp he had made on the Eastern Road from Port Hempstead.  Though very few heard anything of what was said by the Warrior in Scarlet, they did hear talk of the Dream Granter and finding him, which is seen as both good and bad news.  It was commented on by a few merchants that a woman was seen making fire turn strange colors, the most notably an emerald green.

A man, villainously unshaven, wanders into the Scamp, and orders a pint.  Seeing a colleague sitting at a nearby table, he goes and sits with him, and the two get to talking.

Even attentive eavesdroppers would only manage to get a fraction of the conversation, but there's talk about undead being slain by the truckload, a demon being banished back to the Hells, and a mage being eaten... or something along those lines.

"Yeah, some of us died.  Powerful wizards tend t'do that.  Pretty creepy place, too..  Ah, whiche'er.  I can't tell you how many times some of the others saved my bacon, but I wouldn't want to go through that again."

A pensive pause.

"I wonder if Spellguard has posted a bounty on that mage, and what I'd need to do to collect?"
