The following are the deity related issues that currently exist in Clarissa's life.
Her mom is a Rofireinite Priestess married to a Toranite Paladin so she remembers the good ole days when Toran and Rofirein were allied and wished that they could be so again although seeing the reality that it will not be so. She has some good friends that are Rofi's, Jennara, and Mylindra in particular.
She has seen how magic can be a powerful force for good and has a couple of people she has worked closely with who are Lucindites. She marvels at the power of magic but through recent events (the curse and cure) she has seen how unreliable the Lady of magic can be. She sees Lucinda as petty and arbitrary and not really in control of the weave since the powers of the weave are used by so many without her approval. Basically, she sees Lucinda as a scam artist who has convinced some that she is in control. She has recently heard that Storold was chastised by Lucinda for trying to help Clarissa and will appologize to Storold since it was Clarissa's wavering and asking for help that set up the situation in the first place. Corba and Storold are both part of a group working on the Elemental Mystery Quest.
Clarissa has a friendship with Nye, a druid who claims to follow Kitharien. He has never really seemed to support Kitharien and has not acted unlawfully in her presence and in fact after recently encountering a Kitharien priest Clarissa noted a distinct difference between Nye and this priest. I believe Nye did too and as a result he will likely be denouncing his following of Kitharien so that he can support the great cycle more than Kitharien. I have spoken to Rose about using Toran's blessings on Nye and I believe that continuing to show Nye the power of Toran is in Toran's interest as long as he continues a path away from Kitharien. Converting an enemy to be a friend is a great victory.
In the pursuit of entering the Demi-lich Mechidil's lair to prevent him from being released our group had to promise a Kitharien priest to bring him a spear from a place that is accessible within the same area that we seek in Mechidil's lair. My word is my bond but if turning over this spear will cause harm to others I am permitted to break it to serve the greater good. I am researching the spear and trying to determine its power. If it turns out to be an item of great power after examination and research then with Michaelis' counsel I will determine what to do with it.
I have aided the kingdom of Erilyn in restoring the royal family from a curse placed on them by Milara. In so doing a great ally against Milara and a strong kingdom for the good of the people has been established. This effort also brings closer an event that will have great impact on a struggle between Shidaleria and Mist. Mist is Toran's enemy and he is unfriendly with Shindaleria. From the information gathered so far it seems that the raising of Estibana will be good for the people and provide an asset against evil in the world. Clarissa needs to better understand how these events will affect Toran before she can decide whether her participation and aid of Shidaleria will have any negative effect on Toran. For now she will continue to aid the Shindy side of the struggle seeing that Toran dislikes Shindy less than he hates Mist. So the opposition of Mist is the primary reason for her participation. If she finds that the raising of Estibana would cause harm from Toran's perspective she will withdraw or oppose the effort depending on the impact. For now she sees the greater good being served by opposing Mist. She has sought and will continue to seek Michaelis' counsel as events unfold.
Kalin, a former Corathite has been an acquaintance of Clarissa. She is trying to teach him to use his power for good and not for selfish reasons. She has worked with him and seen him mature and since he denounced following Corath she seeks to have continued good influence on him. He is being drawn between the Dread Blade, a mercenary organization, and the Council of Hope, a benevolent one. She is working with him to try to influence his choice for the better.
She has been pondering how to strengthen Toran's influence in the lands. Her good friend and ally Krysthalien is interested in opposing Rael in Prantz. She has counselled Krys to ensure that any opposition is supported by eveidence of wrongdoing or she will not be able to help him oppose a rightful ruler. She believes that Rael is a tyrant and is fooling the people while in secret having an evil agenda. This is supported by the following: He was a general of Blood and took the city by force, he allows deep dwarf slavers to operate with impunity on Dregar, he destroyed the temple of Toran and does not allow the people to freely worship, he has used the darkness to convince the people to give up their liberties for security but she knows this comes with a price. She is going to work with Krys to attempt to find hard evidence that can support the lawful opposition of a tyrant to help Toran's ally Vorax to restore a lawful government to Prantz in the very long term.
She represented Toran at the Voraxian high council and is interested in aiding Toran's ally Vorax in gaining an understanding of the threat posed by the emerging dragons, especially the White dragon in Bastil.
