*News filters from the Temple of Beryl in Stone, about a soul binding ceremony that was held in the middle of the night several days prior. Normally such gossip wouldn't pass the town gates, but in this case, it was said that the two involved were prominent leaders in Layonara.  One, in particular being an Emerald in the Church of Beryl.

It is whispered, that what could have been, or should have been,  "The Wedding of The Century" was instead a very quiet, personal affair, with only a few close friends and family to witness.  Of which, was only whomever could be gathered at a moments notice. Most are not sure why the ceremony was held in this manner.. as if decided upon quickly, but, the Berylites that witnessed it describe it as a very warm and touching binding ceremony "Even if she did changed the words to the vows just a bit."

The nervous groom to be stood at the alter with another of Beryl's priests awaiting the appearance of his bride.  Those that witnessed describe her as appearing from the shadows at the end of the temple isle.  Layers of dark silk and sheer black fabrics forming the skirt of her simple black dress, with a sheer ruffle around the low cut top, and small sleeves that slid down on her pale shoulders. As she started to walk forward to him, tears formed in his eyes. Her pale eyes, slightly hidden behind whisps of ebony hair, remained fixed on him throughout the ceremony.

But of course, Berylite gossip would not be complete without mentioning of the Rings.  Two rings, both set with flawless emeralds, but slightly different in design were granted Beryl's blessing and then exchanged.

Tears, laughter, vows, and finally joy was shared as the ceremony was concluded with a simple promise and a kiss.

After sharing their good wishes with the witnesses present the groom lifted his bride into his arms and the two disappeared into the darkness of the night. The shadows and the blessing of Her Perfection guiding their steps home.*
