Made my way to Port Hempstead, came across some legitimate gold finally and supplies are in order. This man staggers into the market looking like the undead and buys a few things. Introduced himself as Aaron Wright a paladin of Toran.Must not be too loved by his god, not that Mist plays favorites either. Seems he ran afoul of rats trying to help a woman. Like I always say, good deeds never go unpunished. That's why it's better to do as you please and pay your respects only as needed.
I can see what that Toranite was going on about, these things are huge! I thought I'd get easy work in the sewers, knife some thing in the back and take its necklace back for proof. No, the rats here are the worst. They're bad for ships and bad for my purse. Looks like it's Vehl for me, doubt there's anything in this town I can make use of for now. Found the Toranite again, less bloody this time. In the company of a bard he was paid to escort about. As they were on their way to Vehl I joined in and we had a good time touring the streets. Vehl hasn't changed a bit, still full of canters and bats shouting in the streets. If it weren't for the pigs I might stay longer, but I'm just here for what coin I can get. Did get a few skeletons put down with Aaron. He's a real cull but I didn't have it in me to gull him. For one it wouldn't be hard to take a guess at where his things might be, not that I wouldn't talk my way out of that in a hurry. Just didn't seem fair I guess lifting anything from a sleeping man who'd just taken a few hits to spare me the mother's kiss. I let him be though don't doubt he'll pull me first chance he gets if I don't mind my manners. He's a harman from Llast unless I miss my guess. Seems all the Toranites come from there.
