Kaelyn's Collection of Letters

Dear Momma,

Happy almost Harvest Day! I'm sorry I haven't returned your letters in so long.

Once spring rolled around here on Mistone, I put myself to work planting crops for the survivors of those terrible tsunamis. It's been very hard work, but very much worth it. The people here near Port Hempstead aren't really... pastoral folk. They're so used to living in a big city and going to markets that they didn't know how to grow their own crops! And now that self-sufficiency is key to their survival before rebuilding is done, someone needed to teach them. Being the only Prunillan I have seen since arriving, I knew it had to be my job. And what a job it was! I spent day after day out in the fields, sweating and getting callouses on my hands. I've gained a new appreciation for hard labor; it is truly liberating. I'm hoping now that Harvest Day is arriving that they've learned something. And even if they didn't, they at least have a good amount of corn and wheat for the winter.

Much love,
Kaelyn *a drawing of a four-leaf clover beside her signature*
