I think it is a lower level because it has PC classes, unlike my animal summons which have animal levels.
PC classes are better the NPC classes

Had a few ideas on the subject,

I like the idea of wolves for Folian's summons. Maybe also some archer spirits with good DR penetration but very weak melee would be nice too.

Xeen's wine elementals would be fun. If we could customize her water elementals to be purple and have a on hit save vs poison or lose x amount of intelligence, it'd be like getting opponents forcibly drunk, very useful for fighting mages. Regardless, they'd just be cooler renamed "Wine Elemental" or "Wine Contruct." Succubi would fit well to as she is the lewd and debacherous child of Corath.

Grand seems more in tune with things like flying axes and orc soldier spirits akin to Vorax. Meanwhile Dorand could do with animated hammers and fire elementals. (called "Soul of the Forge" or some such)

Beryl's earth elementals are great in effectiveness, though changing their visual representation as being somewhat more like a gem golem's appearance would be interesting. Maybe a gem golem's visual but with a different color, renamed "Gem Elementals". Have each level of summon be the color of an increasingly more valuable type of gem, ultimately hitting diamond, ruby and emerald golems at 7, 8 and 9.

Aeriden's water elementals could be downsized a bit, but with increasingly more powerful extra dmg vs the undead, kind of like Holy water elementals. ALso, it'd be awesome if they could be somehow coded with a henchman script so that they'd heal their summoner with a minor heal 1x/summon when the caster did the "heal me" command "VWD" Lvl 1 summon would do cure minor, lvl 2 cure light, lvl 3 cure moderate, lvl 4 cure moderate, lvl 5 cure serious, lv 6 cure serious, lvl 7, cure criticle, lvl 8 cure critical, lvl 9 healing circle. maybe a little less powerful than that, but you get the idea. Having healing, undead baned summons would be right on par with Aeriden's credo; healing waters ripe with positive energy.

Rofirein has lots of protectors, mostly constructs. never thought that sat right. Librams to represent the code of laws at lower levels, then some forms of lawman spirits, like celestial bailiffs/lawgivers or such. Definitely with his lawgiver credo, some extra bonus vs chaotic foes could make a good mix. Perhaps lvl 9 summon could be a weak gold dragon-like summon, with a weak red dragon-like counterpart for Pyrtechon at the same level.

Prunilla's summons are right on the mark! those scarecrows and shambling mounds are *perfect* for her dogma. Kitharian could use some form of elf spirit spearman, some hawks and hunting dogs rather than the standard animal progression.

With Aragen the scholar, the librams fit very will for lvls 1-4. After that, non book-form golems don't seem quite so relevant to his goals. (after are, they are mindless) Scholars would be interesting here, old man summons with open books in their hands who have mind protection auras around them to help ward confusion. If there was some way for them to cast sight enhancing spells like ultravision, clairvoyance, see invisibility and the like on the caster when he did the "Help Me" or "Heal Me" voice command... that would be incredibly in theme. All said summons of Aragen should also double as a reading light, permanent visual fx on it glowing. A paladin-like radius effect that gave bonuses to lore would be fun too; people would start summoning these things to help them identify things and research topics during quests. He'd definitely not be much of a scrapper in combat though, just like that Loremaster creatures card.

Oh, and I know Celgar will kick me for saying this... save the golems for Goran, Lucinda summons should be weak and cast offensive magics. Librams, apprentices, archmages, oh my!

I'd like to see different summons based upon diety. Not to deny Cel his golem or anything, I do find it sort of funny that Jeran who has no god, summons celestials, just like Daren, who follows Az'atta.

That being said...I'm scared to see anything change, Daren follows the goddess of love, redemption and mercy, I'd hate to summon something like Disgrunteled Cherub (immediately performs Charm Person on the caster (successful will save for half duration), making him become enraptured with the highest HD enemy for 1d4 + 1rounds/level) or Bigby's Merciful Touch (all in area of effect are wrapped up in a warm fuzzy feeling healing 3d8 HP of damage, removing any negative spell effects and making them immune to all mind spells/paralysis/fear for 3 turns/2 caster levels).

So...as you can tell, I'm of two minds about this

I would like to see more undead creatures for evil aligned mages and priests of Corath. Not that I do not like my maralith, it is perfect in every way, but nevertheless I would like to see undead. Vampire assassins and powerful skeletons and death knights would better suit a follower of Corath than different demons.

Could somebody from the team reply and say if such things were ever considered or ever will be?

higher levels of animate dead would be great, by leevl 11 animate dead is rather weak. An i have poasted somewhere before that id love to see more perstent blade spells, make a short sword for level 4.. a long sword for level 5 a grat swoprd for level 6, dont need one fore every level i just love the animated weapon thing, i like to rp it that my char is controling that said animated item, such as the dagger that i love to use but dies in one hit now. If any of this is being considered by the Team id love to hear about it. I would also like Ar7 said, but not just evil, make it for necromancers. Something maby only a specialest would have or somthing, but sence there evil you wouldent be able to use them in every battle becouse most chars would make you leave and unsummen it. but maby a level 6 spell could be the undead golem, you could use the skin from the undead oger and just make it get better depending on caster level just like animate dead. Have it get stronger and have a higher DR each level or something but to a max such as the animate dead spell has.

Any feed back would be great

Do you guys have any idea how HARD it is for a wizard to make a golem?... And no it's not a gnomeish thing... A gnomeishthing would be a steam powered Clockwork what ever.. Or a Bronze steam golem, or any thing that does not use MAGIC to power it. You guys got your things mixed up. I mean in the D&D world any wizard that is powerful enough will try to make a golem at some point because its a status symbol among the magic circles. A wizard with a golem is like a G-unit with is bling yo. hheheh Or beter yet it like them people that buy a honda civic and waist $2 to 4000 to make their car look strange. My 5 candian cents, .025 amarican

Edit. Not to mention there is such things as wild golems, Ragamuffins are a result of puiling years worth of magical clothing into a corner and letteing them sit, not to mention there are places in FG where magic is so powerful that stone and clay golems come to life.

Just be cause cel's sheild golem can tank on west does not mean the same for central and east

Doesn't really matter how hard it is to make a golem. Since Celgar, or any other
PC as far as I know, can't call on a golem they have made. They summon random golems
from the clockwork plane or some such.

I as making a point here. It takes an awful alot of magic to make a golem, even if it was made on another plane. No matter what a golem is a creature of magic, granted it was manmade or, golem made, or how every they are. Maybe a golem god? I don't rememebermuch on how they were first created

I agree with Cel here. If any worshiper has a right on summoning golems it's the Lucindite. I mean, it's completely clear why it is this way. It's a cunning scheme from Lucinda. She's clearly hugging all the mages here, not wanting them to worship other gods.

Golems are manufactured wherever the mage is that manufactures them.

What comes from Mechanus are the Inevitables, golem-ish clockwork creatures that enforce the laws of the multiverse. Not to mention the modrons which are different entirely.

I'm a bit torn on this issue. Summoning of golems seems a little odd. But its not odd for high enough level wizards to have them. Perhaps if there was a way to make them, and then give the wizard a control device that "summons" them instead, essentially making them henchmen like in HotU. Then make the summons a bit more summonish. Weave guardians of some sort. I don't have any of the more recent MMs, just MMI and Handbook of the Planes and nothing in either of those really fits that bill aside from generic good planars.

It would also mean that mages wouldn't have to be lucindites to have golems. Or modify one of the familiar options to be a "Construct" that changes form.

Mages dont have to follow a god to get golems, we get them if we are neutral
